Handy Little Device . I just love this device. I also have the Sansa TakeTV that I purchased 2 years ago but I'm giving that away as soon as I find someone to give it to. The CiragoTV Mini is a lot more convenient to use and offers so many features the Sansa doesn't have. With the Sansa you had only the main unit to store video on. Although the dock had a USB port on it, you couldn't plug just any USB storage device into it and play video from there. With the Cirago you have so many storage/media options. Also, it plays not only video but pictures and music as well. It also costs much less than the Sansa. It isn't housed in metal like the Sansa but the build quality is solid.
Performance: This device played everything it said it would play. No glitches at all. Video quality was amazing. My only problem is when I try changing TV types or resolutions it seems to switch to PAL mode. I still need to figure that one out.
Media Support: I only gave it 4 stars for Media Support because it doesn't recognize SDHC cards. Regular SD cards work fine. So if you're thinking of buying a large capacity SDHC card to put video, pictures, or music on, make sure you get one that comes with one of those SDHC readers so you can use the SDHC card through the reader. What's great about the CiragoTV is that you can use any USB storage device - hard drives, flash drives, SD cards, and even card readers that take any of the other memory cards not directly supported on the device.
User Interface: For video playback the remote only has previous and next file buttons. No fast forward or rewind buttons. To ffw or rew the video you need to press an options button then select a button from the on-screen interface. They could've used the left and right buttons since those buttons are not used for anything while playing video. On the other hand, I had a folder with DVD files and while playing around with the device I went into the Files option and when I went into the folder containing the DVD files I found a "Play DVD" option added to the folder. (Its not really there but the device adds that option when it knows the folder contains DVD files.) I clicked that and I was amazed to find the device supported the DVD menus, scene selection, etc. The Next and Prev buttons on the remote now worked with the DVD chapters. Amazing! Now I can copy my DVD collection onto a portable hard drive and have most of my DVD collection with me wherever I go. Parents, I would get this device, put all your kids' DVDs on a hard drive, find a power adapter that plugs into a car lighter socket, then plug the device's AV out into your van's AV input and they'll have enough video to keep them occupied on a cross country road trip! I'll do some research and find a car power supply for this.
Package Contents: The kit includes everything you need (CiragoTV Mini, Manual, power supply, remote with battery, AV cable) but I wish they'd included an HDMI cable since those don't cost much these days. A 3-foot cable would do.
So if you're looking for a solid, portable, versatile media player for home or to take around with you, you can't go wrong with the CiragoTV Mini.

Cool little media player . I got the CiragoTV Mini a few days ago, and have been loving it! I dont have to watch downloaded content on my computer anymore coz all I need to do is connect a USB flash drive or external hard drive to the Mini and it plays on my TV! It truly is "Mini" too - it fits in the palm of my hand. The small size of it makes it a cool travel companion on family trips too.

CiragoTV Mini USB Media Player Opinions
Great little device . I got the CiragoTV Mini USB Media Player for my parents, who are in their 60s. We were looking for a way to play their digital copies of TV shows without hooking up a computer and an XBox 360 or some other media player that would be difficult for them to figure out.
This device is very small, and has an extremely simple interface. Very little setup is required. You can use SD cards, but we found it was easier to hook up a portable hard drive through USB for more storage space. It comes with a very small remote control, power and AV cables, but not an HDMI cable.
Two negative issues that we noticed were that the device tends to get a bit hot, and after a few hours (especially while paused) it can affect performance. Not a huge deal for the price, and it doesn't happen all the time. Also, the interface is indeed simple, but there is more than one way to access files. We found that if we tried to make the thing search for videos, it cranked away, searching through the entire portable hard drive, but it never finished. Possibly we gave it too much to look through, but we found that it was much faster to access the file tree on the hard drive and navigate to the show we wanted to watch.
Overall, a great little device. Portable, easy-to-use and very economical!

Exactly as promised . I needed a media player and this product has performed exactly as promised. This IS NOT an Apple TV and do not expect it to perform as one.
Excellent starter media player. Great value for money. . I picked up one of these at a local retail store after they advertised it in the local papers. I've used a number of more expensive media players but I wanted a simple, inexpensive one for my daughter. This was the only player that I found in the $60 range that has a HDMI output. I don't need the 1080p, which typically costs more, so the 720p/1080i output was ideal. Why pay more some something I won't use?
The box was much smaller than I expected. I liked the color, although my daughter would have preferred it to be pink. Installation was a breeze. Unbox, plug in power, connect HDMI cable, attach a USB portable hard drive and I was up and running. Video and sound quality are good. It also has a photo slide show mode which can be useful during family gathering when I want to display my digital photo album.

Great value . It doesn't have all the features of higher priced players, but it does everything it claims. I bought one as a Christmas present, and it went over so well I ended up buying 2 more the next year. Between the 3 of them the only problem I've heard is some flash drives aren't recognized.
Cons Review
Won't play dvd files consistently . I bought this player to play my home movies that I created and made into dvd iso files. I author dvds professionally, so I know what I'm doing. The player will play some files fine and others won't play at all. Seeing that I created all the dvd files in the same manner, it should work the same for all dvd iso files. I tried a firmware update, but the player wouldn't update. It just hangs there after 15 minutes of waiting. Seeing the player couldn't even play dvd iso files, I sent it back to Amazon for a refund. My other more expensive $100 media player will play most everything fine. I just wanted a cheaper one for my other tv. Didn't work out.
