Does what it's supposed to do . If you have a slot loading imac g3, this is what you need for it to accept the 802.11b [before g revision] airport card. Installion is extremely easy- you don't even have to open the case completely, thanks to a removeable panel below the VGA port on the back that allows access to the RAM [this card fits just above the RAM onto a proprietary port on the slot loading G3s]. Since the card is limited to 11mb/sec anyway this adpter isn't going to slow down the network- actually, using the 802.11b airport card w/ this will increase performance if your using a USB 802.11b adapter because the imac g3 uses usb 1.1, not 2.0. I notices faster loading, leading me to believe that the proprietary port this adapter plugs into is faster than usb 1.1.

Great switch great features low cost. . This is a great little switch. I replaced a big 24 port gig switch with this to save some money on power and to reduce the amount of heat generated by my network gear in my home office. It runs cool and is part of their new "green" switch line that reduces power consumption in a number of ways. It does everything I expect higher end web-managed switches to do, and is extremely affordable. I like that 3Com has redesigned this line to have flat case tops instead of the rounded tops they used to have (no more need for the extra bracket in order to put something on top of it). Make sure that you upgrade the firmware on this switch right out of the box before doing ANYTHING else; there's a bug in the shipped firmware that will brick the switch when you set the password and you'll have to console into it to recover otherwise. The new firmware fixes that.

This thing does time delay reflectometry! . This switch has a built in TDR! For those of you that don't know, that is the method used to find faults in cables. If you have broken or shorted cables then this should find them. It found a break in one of my cables I didn't even know about! Well, didn't know about until it failed to link at 1Gb/s anyways...)This switch is fill gig, supports an SFP, and is small. From the pictures you may think it is rack sized by its proportions, but it is only about 1" tall in reality. It also has a serial connection. I haven't used it yet, but it is very nice to know it is there in case I botch up the settings.I did find the vlan settings convoluted. I had a heck of time getting traffic tagged properly on the SFP. However, I think this was exacerbated by the fact that I haven't migrated off PVID 1 yet. Read the manual before configuring 802.1Q on it. The switch I got had 3com firmware which is very different from HP ProCurve firmware.

Alfa 3G Mobile Router . This is a great item but confusing in the beginning there is little or no customer support basically this item is plug and play using the ip address and password on the bottom of the unit. i also found out that you must have a wired connection to a modem to set up the 3G feature it is also worth it to use the install disk in the box i would recommend this to anyone who needs a travel modem I don't no if it works with apple products but it works well with XBOX live.

good item can work as dual radio repeater bridge . recently purchased this item. its web gui is fairly simple to use. i used it as a dual radio repeater bridge. with its own antenna it sees ~ 10 ap, with my rtl8187L it sees ~20 ap while same location asus WL-330GE sees only 1 ap. by now i hope we have got the point. since it worked good so far, it should work good with 3g modems.

-cosmetically well designed
-think it uses ralink chipset for its radio which is among top 3 in the world (realtek/ralink/atheros)
-uses 12v dc(can be hard wired in a rv/bus/car)
-removale rp-sma antenna for connecting a better antenna/amplifier
-built in rtl8187L based usb wifi modem/client driver
-doesn't get too hot
-stable and its by alfa, they invent and many follows +
-can be used as a broadband wireless N router(-)points:
-not a lot of 3g modems supportes as mentioned on this products data sheet
-only rtl8187L based wifi usb card supported for dual radio repeater-bridge-client
-no rechargable li-ion battery for portability
-no sim card reader slot for cellular data (client-router)

good deal . 600ma tx 400ma rx. Ordered Thursday and it was in the mail box Monday. Beats my brothers two laptops' internal adapters and pc's pci adapter with -56dbm signal and -92dbm noise. Sees 10 networks in Chillicothe, Ohio. 128bit wep. Internal printed antenna and 5dbi rp-sma screw on. Dual band N. Windows 2k through 7, Mac and Linux. Remember to click cancel when Windows tries to auto-install hardware since it comes with it's own disk. It does work with Windows zero configuration utility and it auto connects on startup with it's own. Just right click to switch. It works well . It gives me a good strength of service over network signals that my laptop can't pick from inside of a building, which allows me to use internet. However if it a network that can be pick-up by my laptop they work at the same speed.

do not buy from DBRoss NJ . was not the same as in advertisement but does work much better with an extention wire and must be 2.0cert. wire or it won't work at full speed or some times at all!!Place it some where there are very few electronics and it works great! worth the price to me but I'm still not going to give up my HIRO INC. Wow! Delightfully Surprised! . I recently moved into a new apartment, which is located across the street from the leasing office (which has free wi-fi). The Time Warner guy gave me a basic NetGear usb adapter but the only signal I could pick up was a neighbor's unsecured connection (and only at 18% signal strength). After reading the reviews, I got this and all I can say is wow! Not only is the leasing office's wi-fi (which didn't even register on the other adapter) coming in at 70%, but I am also picking up the airport wi-fi which is about 5 miles away!!!!! I was skeptical with buying a no-name brand adapter, but the price was right and I am truly amazed at the reception I am getting. Don't hesitate -- buy this adapter today!

not worth it . I bought this to boost signal from one house to another. It says it works upto 1000 meters and the distance I needed covered was half of that. It does not pick up any signal even at that distance.

Is this B/G or B/G/N? . I just purchased this and have not yet had a chance to try it out, but I am confused...the title and my receipt say this supports wireless n, but the box and the specs say only b/g. I will not be happy if it does not support wireless n. Does anyone know for sure? I will adjust my star rating when I know the truth!

Update: Gets very good signal strength, but as feared it is not connecting at Wireless N, in fact the included utility does not offer and settings other than wireless g. Disappointed, but at least I get strong and reliable connection.

would recommend . this device works just as advertised. I am using it for sharing printers or scanners between users both having windows XP and windows 7. I have bought a spare for the next time I might need one.

Great price poor performance . Product worked fine for the first few weeks. After that is started acting up and eventually, one month later, won't work at all. I went back to my manual USB switch and tossed this auto switch in a box.

TP-Link products rock! . I bought the adapters from Amazon marketplace seller Flytec Computers in Miami and they had a great price and excellent customer service. I emailed them before buying because I was concerned that I might get adapters with EU plugs on them since the photo on Amazon shows the EU version. But they responded promptly and assured me that they have US plugs, and they do!

A little background- I previously owned Xyzel powerline adapters and they worked, but then failed after a few months and so did a router I owned from the same company, so I swore that brand off.
I've owned a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND router for over a year and it is by far the most solid router I've ever owned (easy setup, reliable and fast) so I've become a TP-Link fan.

We tried a MS wireless N adapter for our older X-Box that's on the 2nd floor but it didn't get the throughput it should have been getting, and video just wouldn't stream successfully with it. So I still had a need to get ethernet up to that X-Box, and I happened upon these adapters from TP-Link online. So I bought them with only about three reviews to go by on the entire web, because I'm a TP-Link fan girl:).

Well, just like the router, they are super easy to get up and running- just plug them in and they connect! It's really that easy. I didn't even press the QOS button on them. The X-Box was off of the ethernet cable that I had running up my staircase, and onto the powerline network in literally minutes! We use the X-Box to stream recorded TV from our NAS and HTPC and for X-Box live Netflix streaming, and the powerline speed has been just as good as the ethernet was- no macroblocking or lagging at all.

My house is over 60 years old with three extensions and all different ages and types of wiring between them, and these things work in it. I've tried them in several rooms now.

I haven't installed the utility software on any computers. It is not required to get them connected. Nothing is required to get them connected except plugging them into the wall and the client and having one plugged into your router or ethernet switch.

I plugged them directly into the wall outlet which is recommended, but I read a review from one guy who plugged one into a surge protector and still got just as stong a throughput.

I am very happy I bought these adapters and recommend Flytec as well!

Super! . I bought this for my brother as a birthday present and now I'm the cool sis. His 2-story house has his modem and router upstairs, but he needed internet feed downstairs for his TV and he's worried enough about hackers that he refuses to go wireless. Running cable or this solution were our only options. He called to report 1) it had arrived, 2) it was installed (in 5 minutes) and 3) it was working even better than he'd imagined. His cable throughput averages 18Mbps and he tested to find he was "only" getting 9Mbps through the Homeplug. As he said, fully adequate for streaming. As we parted company on the phone, he was happily streaming Netflix and he's reported impeccable service ever since.

easy to use and strong signal . Works smoothly with Patriot Box Office. Only complain is that it is a little too wide so it can only be inserted to the front USB, not the back one.

Perfect (just a little "hack" needed) . This device works extremely well in my home. However, as other reviewers have noted, it doesn't fit into the back of the Patriot Box Office. A huge design flaw that the engineers should be ashamed of, but there is an incredibly easy fix that only takes a minute or two to pull off. It took me longer to explain it below than it did to actually do it.

Locate the USB plug on the back of the Box Office and attempt to place the wireless adapter in it. It will only go in so far before the black plastic casing of the adapter hits the black plastic casing of the Box Office. Mark this spot on the Box Office and set the adapter aside. Next, take a screwdriver and hold it over an open flame or hot electric burner for 30 seconds or so. Now, apply the hot end of the screwdriver to the Box Office where you marked it. The plastic will melt away. Be careful so not to burn yourself, push a little bit as you go and be careful cleaning the melted plastic off the screwdriver. Repeat as necessary to melt away a little channel for the adapter to slide into. Let the housing cool. The adapter should now slide right into the USB plug.

Patriot box willn't go wireless witout their patriot wireless dongle contrary to statement that it can work with any other brand .i tried with linksys,netgear and buffalo dongles but in vain .So i ordered one from here and worked like charm in first try.just press wps on router and wireless option from patriot box .paired within 40 seconds and will accompany each other for rest of their product life.Its tiny in size and fits perfectly in usb port of box .Earlier reviewers complained about size i think company changed dimensions as i 'd no trouble with it at all.Good speed, easy configration and fair price .5 /5
