Price : Too low to display
The Video Separator is a signal booster and splitter that is used to take video input from a single source and direct it to two video outputs for monitors using analog signals. The signal boost obtained by using the VS92A allows you to not only split the signal but to extend the distance so that you can send the signal to about 210 feet. (Your average VGA card, combined with a standard VGA cable, can send a clear VGA signal approximately 25 feet.) This makes public broadcasts from a single computer very feasible. If you want to display the same information on many monitors at once, such as in a classroom environment, or at a demonstration, this product performs incredibly well. Bandwidth is the term that is used to describe the signal capacity of these units. In general, bandwidth is directly proportional to the amount of data transmitted per unit of time. Specifically, in analog signals, bandwidth is the difference between the highest-frequency and the lowest frequency components of a givin signal. For example a voice telephone signal has a bandwidth of 3000 Hz (or 3000 cycles per second), where an analog TV signal has a bandwidth of approximately 6MHz (or 6 million cycles per second) which is approximately 2000 times greater than a simple voice phone call. VS92A has a bandwidth of 350MHz (which is 350 million cycles per second) and that over 40 times greater than a simple TV signal. This huge bandwidth allows for the transmission of large amounts of information at a very high rate of speed, and thus you can use the very high resolution setting of 1920 x 1440 in 24 or 32 bit true color mode. Works simply and easily . This video splitter simply does its job, exactly as expected.
I use this to split VGA signal between a projector and an LCD monitor, and it works beautifully like magic. There's no fade, blur or discoloration of any kind -- both projector and LCD both show exactly the same as if the signal wasn't split.
I'd definitely buy more if I needed them.
Note #1: The VGA input port is male, so it requires a male/female VGA "extension" cable. Don't fret, one is already included with the product.
Note #2: This splitter is an "active" VGA splitter that requires an AC/DC power brick (also included with the product). This has the very slight disadvantage of adding 1 more component that could fail to your video chain, but since "passive" VGA splitters cause signal degradation, there's not much choice. Besides, the splitter's utter simplicity suggests that the chance of failure is minuscule.
Note #3: The product image which shows 3 VGA ports on the upper side of a plastic white box appears to be an old model. The one I received, which appears to be a later model, is black-and-chome, made of metal, and the VGA ports are on the side. These are all improvements, in my opinion.

ATEN 2-Port 350 MHz VGA Video Splitter VS92A (Silver) Reviews
ATEN 2-Port VGA Video Spliter/Boster VS82 . I needed a hookup for our church to run our laptop and a projector at the same time for presentations and videos during services. This was a perfect device and the cost was great. There was no problem installing it and we can move it anywhere in the church very easily. I highly recommend this for anyone needing this type of hookup. Before, we tried a splitter Y-cable and the picture was always blured on the laptop. Not with this box. The picture is perfect and very clear on both devices.

ATEN 2-Port 350 MHz VGA Video Splitter VS92A (Silver) Opinions
Works Great! . I work for a school district as tech support. We installed LCD projectors in the ceilings in a few of the classrooms and needed to have the video from the computer project onto the screen while also showing on the monitor. We had some "Y" video splitter cables, but they did not work at all. So I purchased these Aten 2 port 250MHz VGA splitters and they work great! Very easy to install and set up, the picture is perfect, and everyone's happy. The price was right also.

Cons Review
Unsatisfactory for splitting video output for projector and TV . I bought this thinking I could distribute the output from an iScan Pro video processor to a Sharp front projector and a 37 inch LCD TV. Unfortunately, this unit significantly affects the signal so that low-light scenes have insufficient contrast, Adjusting the controls for low-light scenes results in outdoor scenes looking washed-out.
