killer media server for regular people . you dont need roku boxee or anything else if youre computer savvy. this box will play just about anything and if you acquire your own media for it then you dont need netflix or ANY other source. if you do not have ethernet near where youll install this box then you MUST get the wireless dongle which works great. I have streamed dvd isos which play exactly like a physical dvd would. also have streamed hd and it looks and plays great. video rss feeds work well to though I will be adding a hard drive to make the playback easier [ forget pausing streamed media from the net ]. for the price this thing is very hard to beat and I am someone who a year ago bought the netgear digital entertainer 9150 for 3 times the price from amazon and netgear has abandoned it [though it still works]. once again, if youre a downloader this is the box for your media. period.

Uitstor Uebo M200 HD Wired Media Player Reviews
nice box but . the media player look realy good ,images and sounds are also exellent, not noisy (fan) can't hear it!
media transfer from pc works easy, the only problem is the bit torrent,,it is working but the machine freeze a lot,
i have download a lot of files perfectly but sometimes it freeze,,,you have to unplug the box and plug it back ,download will resume then, but it is frustrating since they advertise this feature a lot!!
i use the firmware V7.3.54 r4808
with the freezing problem fix this would be an amazing box
thanks

Uitstor Uebo M200 HD Wired Media Player Opinions
Good but not perfect. . This device got some good reviews so I decided to check it out. One of my major reasons for purchasing this Uebo instead of many of the others is how it handles subtitles, since most of the video I watch is foreign. Firstly I have to say that the device's primary function, which is streaming/playing video across the network works beautifully. Video is stunningly good and it plays 1080p content without a hiccup. I have yet to find a format that it cant play. Text based subtitles work very well, even if you have multiple SRT files for different languages it lets you easily switch between them on the fly, as well as changing the font and size. However I've noticed sometimes that a dialogue line wont show up or it will show up late and only for 1 second. It doesn't happen constantly so it's not really a bother for me.
So while it plays video wonderfully, there are some issues. Firstly, I cannot get the bittorrent client to work. It keeps crashing and despite spending over an hour on the phone with Uebo's tech support (they are helpful and patient) there has yet to be a resolution for this matter. He did send me some experimental firmware but and it worked at first, but the same thing kept happening. I would love this feature to work but it's not the end of the world so I'll wait for additional firmware updates for this problem.
The interface isn't completely terrible, but it's not intuitive in the way a device made for the mass-market is. You have to be comfortable with browsing network shares and entering IP addresses, and likewise setting it up on your computer. There also should be an easy way of adding folders on network shares to your favorites list but as of yet there isn't, so for now you're stuck with manually browsing each time. Oh one other thing. It does playlists, but only for content on the internal hard drive. I wish it allowed you to put whatever you wanted into a playlist regardless of where the file resides but I guess not.
I tried the play-on free trail. There's a tremendous amount of content available on it, and once setting up the server on your PC browsing it on the Uebo isn't what you'd call pretty but it's not that difficult to find what you're looking for. The quality however is crap. Very pixellated and compressed, looks like 240p at best, which when blown up to 720p on a 32" screen looks horrible. I'm guessing this is a limitation on my computer's ability to transcode, but I think having built in apps like Boxee and Roku would be much better.
This is a geeks toy, and if you don't mind "getting your hands dirty" so to speak, it will serve you well. It seems built well enough, and their support department seems eager to improve things.
update 2/17/10:
2 firmware updates later and Bittorrent still doesn't work. There also seems to be very little discussion about this box on internet forums, or at least as far as I can tell with google. I'd like to know if I'm the only one with this problem. Also now supports DVD playback, which works awesome. Will play directly from an ISO or a USB DVD drive and has full menu support.

Like this very much . I brought it last week and have been watching my HD contents of all different formats (AVI, RMVB, RM, MP4, MPEG, etc) from my hard drives to the HD display everyday.
The quality of Video (motion and static)is very good and clear, plus the sound effect via the connection to my Hi-Fi is awesome!
Well it is the right bridge to link our digit records to HD display that I have been looking for a long time.
In all I give it a 5 star!

Works like a charm . got this media player yesterday and has been playing with it. It plays all media format i threw at it. The UI is great, easy to navigate, simple. Video quality is excellent. BT is very useful. Overall love it. The only downsize is user manual is kinda hard to use.

Cons Review
Bad surprise . Won't write about "pros", it is clear. Huge "cons":
1. Inability to switch audio track during playback (MKV, DVD, divx etc). You can do it, but you need to restart the movie. Very strange design decision here.
2. First DTS track hangs your system in DTS mode. Meaning, you won't be able to watch anything at all after watching video with DTS track until you hard reboot your system
3. "clever" advertising: On the box it says: Netfilx, YouTube and more. (then in small letters (via PlayOn, running on your computer as server). What that means, is the following: this device DOES NOT HAVE a native Netflix client. Now let's compare it with the very first line of the product description, which declares: "BREAK FREE FROM YOUR PC!". Hmmmmmm.
4. Two hangs on MKVs over 10GB in size.
I shipped it back and I had to pay for it. No $$$ back yet. (I bought two of them as gifts) Will see what's going to happened next

M200 UEBO player does NOT support bit torrent . M200 can play video files both on the network and from a hard drive which of course is NOT included and you have to buy one and install later. However, despite of what the advertisement claims it does NOT support BT downloads. In all firmware releases posted on their support site, and I did try them all, there seems to be a persistent bug which causes the BT process to die after a few minutes, sometimes a few hours.
As a set top player it is quite all right and works as advertised, but do not expect to retire your PC it torrent software any time soon.

HIDDEN CHARGES EXTRA SOFTWARE REQUIRED . This product specifically indicates that it will stream Netflix, HULU and other video sources from the internet. It does not specify that you are required to spend either a $40 yearly subscription fee or a one time $79.99 fee for [...] server software to do this. In this time and age it is expected that if your product does not do something out of the box or without extra charges to the customer you should make it perfectly clear such as Harddrive not included, Batteries not included. I will be calling Amazon to see what options i have to return this product immediately.
