Great Buy Online BUT Beware Low Profile . Easy to install. Purchased it from BB for $30 initially cuz my tower NIC died, and needed it right away. At least that is what I was hoping the issue was. Turned out I was right. Installed drivers on XP. The install adds another LAN in Control Panel. I disabled the old one, and it connected to gigabit network right away. Purchased 3 more from Amazon at a fraction of the price. Love the Low-Profile option that came with it, which is a screw-on swap. Looking forward to getting all pooters gigabit. I would recommend this product.

Update: My amazon adapters arrived and I decided to try the low profile option, the replaceable adapter that comes with it DOES NOT fit the card. The screw wholes dont line up by a long shot. That kinda gave me a reason as to why the adapters arrived in their own baggies rather than a Dynex box like from BB. Also gave me a reason as to why they were so cheap. Must have been a bad run, and they just needed to offload them. So I checked out my initial BB adapter, same model, same contents and it was the same thing. Low Profile bracket doesn't align. Only difference is BB sells it for 3 times the price. (Amazon's shipping doubles the price for each bring it to roughly $10 a piece). They both operate the same as far as I can tell. Just don't count on it for Low-Profile installs.

Great Gigabit Card with plug n play operation . I purchased this open box for $5.57 on Amazon and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Before transfer speeds between my Gigabit desktop and 100mb desktop was 11Mb/s now I get around 80Mb/s!
Installation was a breeze, all you have to do is unscrew the side panel of your box, remove the blank cover at the PCI slot and then slide in this card. Whole process of shutting down computer, taking off panel, installing card and rebooting computer takes 10 minutes or less and you can begin enjoying faster transfer speeds instantly!
Note, this probably will not make your internet any faster as there are no Internet providers that offer anything above 100Mb/s right now. Most of your Cable and DSL providers only use 1Mb to 50Mb/s speeds and your internal card will do you fine. You really only need this if you're doing a lot of transfers on your own home network in between computers at home. If you run a HTPC this is a great thing to have as you will never max out providing HD to all your extenders!
FYI this does work on Windows 7 and no external drivers are required, Windows 7 will see the device and automatically apply drivers for you. Nothing you need to do.

I also tried this card on Windows 7 through boot camp and it worked flawlessly too. No drivers were need for either OS. Overall this is a great Ethernet card and I would recommend it to my friends.

Cons Review
No driver for Windows 7 . This product worked great in an XP machine but unlike every add for this card *there are no windows 7 drivers for this device*.
