Great signal - fast speeds - software drivers included - Awesome! . I took a chance on this because there were no reviews for it, but after doing a ton of research and reading hundreds of reviews for other USB Wireless N Adapters including many name brand ones, I decided to go with my gut and get this one. It seemed like it had all the same technical specs of the branded ones or better and it also came with a cord so it could go on my desk (great because I am using it for a desktop computer that sits under the desk) and the antenna which must really work because it pulls in signals from all over the neighborhood!

As the specs say, it has two receive and one transmit antenna which is equivalent to all the name brand ones in the $20-60 range. Because it's generic, it doesn't come with a bunch of software that could conflict with other things on your computer. I am using it with Vista. I only needed to plug it in and put the mini-disc that came with it in and the drivers were installed as well as the Ralink software which allows you to see signal strength/speed etc. (BTW, in my research I found that most wireless N adapters use Ralink chips so you're getting the same chip in this as you would a much more expensive name brand one.)

Set up was a breeze and it works great so don't hesitate to purchase this if you want to upgrade your computer to receive blazing fast Wireless N signals.

Very powerful . This thing does as advertised. It's very powerful and gets me a stronger signal. I bought this because my other one was a very basic, cheap, wifi adapter. It worked, but I had to search around to find the strongest signal, eventually having it taped to a window in a VERY SPECIFIC PLACE or no dice. This thing...IS SO MUCH EASIER. Just laying on the table next to my computer gave me the same strength of signal as the cheaper adapter did in the window. I now have double the signal in the spot of the cheaper one.Although it's good, I was expecting the exact thing as the picture above. It's the same basic thing, but it's not generic, mines made by AirLink and even though the picture says 300 Mbps, the description is correct, it's only 150 Mbps.
I run Vista 32-bit, and one annoying thing but I think that may have to do with my computer because I just recently formatted it...If I connect this directly to a USB port, the computer doesn't find it and the processor goes to full power without doing anything and instantly goes back to normal once I disconnect it. But I connected it to my small USB Hub, and the computer recognizes it and it works fine. I don't know why it does it, but again I think that's my end for formatting it and probably Vista too. Also, the Ralink drivers that come with it, I already had it on my computer with the cheaper one but the new one didn't like the the original, which is probably another reason why this doesn't like a direct connection to the computer. I'm going to try the older software again and I'll update when that happens. The only thing I can suggest is getting a 9-dbi omni antenna. The antenna that comes with it is great, but not as powerful as the Alfa 9-dbi antenna that I already had.Update: I figured out the problem I was having with my connections. The USB cable that came with this, it didn't have a ferrited end. I have a bunch left over from other products and used it with this one now I can connected to any USB port directly without having any problems. So I rated it 5 again overall, just get a 9-dbi and a ferrited USB cable.

high power wireless adapter . This is a great product. For the price you can't go wrong. On my home network, I have 2 laptops with built-in wireless cards and a desktop that does not have wireless capability. I bought this mainly for the desktop to add wireless capability. Sometimes when my cable goes down, my neighbor lets me use his wireless connection (not cable) until the cable company comes out to fix mine. His signal is weak at my house and this device amplifies it from 1-2 bars to 4-5 bars. Now I use it when traveling with my laptop. When on the road, I disable the built-in wireless card and plug in this bad boy and suddenly have all kinds of choices to hook up to an open wi-fi with great signal strength.

It works so good, I bought one for my sister in Iowa who would like to get her desktop running wireless for a similar reason. The setup is a breeze. It works on XP, Vista, and W-7. Just run the setup disk that comes with the antenna, plug it into a USB port, and you will be amazed at all the signals you can see. You can't beat the price to get your desktop running wi-fi and to get good signals when traveling with your laptop. Highly recommended.
Should have bought more... . Great wireless adapter. Works without hassle on every OS/computer I've tried it on so far. Love the clip (clips on the top of older laptops). Like the title says, I just wish now I'd bought a couple more while they were in stock.
Very happy . I wasn't expecting much being surrounded by a lot of buildings and trees. The WiFi for my apartment building is in another building(yes I know but it's free).I have been getting weak signals and often disconnections. This network adapter did boost it up a couple of bars and I haven't lost connection yet.Did have to play with the antenna a bit but it works as I hoped.!!
Elated with purchase . After a lot of research into usb wifi adapters, I sceptically choose this unit.

It met my intended price range, capable of 802.11n protocol and I prefer this design (as compared to the adapters that look like a USB memory drive).

The antenna makes a huge difference in detecting networks.

The guts are the Ralink RT2870 which was my major selling point as being proven performance. With the updated drivers I was surfing and downloading smoothly.

Great product!
Perfect . Plugged it in, works great. With my old adapter I got 2 bars on my router that is in the basement... now I have all bars and I don't have any lagging at all! Awesome!
