Excellent N-band signal reception . I installed this as an upgrade to the standard a/b/g wifi card on my Dell Studio 1535. Huge difference in both G and N reception, since it has three antennae instead of two (the Dell has three available but the previous card only used two). I use it at home with a NetGear Rangemax WNR3500 wireless router, and the signal is much stronger everywhere in the house than it used to be when I used a matched NetGear PCMIA card wifi adapter. I has thought my router wasn't that great, but now I think it was more a result of my card, since the signal is so strong now with this on-board adapter. Quick 5-minute installation that should be easy enough for anyone who is comfortable taking out one screw that holds the card in place. Other Dell users should note this half-height card is probably the one they need, and the full-size card that fits HP and IBM laptops will not fit in Dells (at least the Studio 15 series), because the wifi slot only allows for a half-height card.

Ubuntu Support . Bought this as a replacement card for my Broadcomm 4322 Chipset in my Dell Studio 1737. Replaced card, and Ubuntu (10.04) recognized this Intel 5300 instantly, did not even need to install drivers. Just worked, out of the box.
Broadcomm adapters are still a little flaky with Linux, if your having trouble I would recommend giving this a try.
This was also recognized with Win Vista (dual boot) after downloading driver software from the Intel site.
Very stable in Ubuntu 10.04.

Works well . I have a 2008 Dell Studio 1537 laptop and had a Trojan/Malware. Got that cleaned and deleted (used free Malwarebytes, EXCELLENT software!), and then my WiFi adopter was no longer present. Device manager didn't show it as being installed, but System Information did. Decided to reformat hard drive back to factory settings. Still no WiFi Network card... same results as before reformatting. So, figured my 5100 half mini card went bad on me and ordered the 5300 half mini card. To make long story short, my card wasn't bad at all. My BIOS was wrong. So for me this was around a $55 lesson. No installation instructions came with the 5300, but there are guides online and I now have it installed. As of yet I haven't noticed too much difference from the 5100. However, I like the extra antenna connection on the card (my 1537 had an extra antenna wire) and logic would suggest that the reception will be better while out and about using WiFi because of this fact. Note: before you go out an buy a replacement card, click and hold the F2 key while booting to check your BIOS. You'll see "Wireless Settings". Go there, and check your wireless info. Make sure everything is enabled. Mine was off (disabled), so my old card was ok. I have NO idea why this happened. I'm still going to keep using the new 5300 card tho, and it works well. I guess there is a FULL mini card as well as a HALF mini card, so be sure to order the right one if you replace your factory install card.
Exceptional 1/2 mini. . I get GREAT range with this using 3 Nyco antenna's with the same connector -the flat panels-.
Haven't had any issues with it losing connectivity on a 802.11G network.
Wireless . Purchased this product for my Dell Latitude E5400 laptop. Installation very easy. The product says up to 450 however, even with high speed I can only get 130 out of it. Yes, there is a difference with downloads so, overall am very pleased with this product. I've check out all of the prices and this is the most reasonable and is well worth the up grade. Remember "N" is here.
Great . Bought two of these, and each laptop is getting faster speeds and greater signal. Haven't had any issues with being dropped since installation. The stock that came with the computer was not very reliable.
Great wireless card . Great price, fantastic and consistent signal. Love it. I use it in a Dell E6400.
awesome mini wireless card for my mini pc . i popped this is with my mini dell pc. windows recognized it as expected and installation went smoothly by downloading the driver from intel. i have been using it every since.
Works in Toshiba NB205 Netbook . I used this card to upgrade the wireless in my Toshiba NB205 Netbook so that I could make my whole network 5ghz Wireless N.
My netbook only has 2 antennas but with this wireless card it doesn't matter.
