The DI-707P wireless router is a cost effective solution for building a wireless network for a small office. The DI-707P has a built-in 7-port switch along with a parallel port to share a printer on a small office workgroup or network. The wireless router has MAC filtering to allow or deny computers on the network access to the Internet, giving you the management control you need. The Network Address Translation allows you to share a single IP address and protects you from outside intruders gaining access to your private network. The DI-707P includes an easy-to-use web-based graphical user interface making router configuration easier than ever.

Not the right device for Multifunction printers . Not much surprise here, it doesn't support any multifunction options, but it does what it's supposed to otherwise do.I have returned this for a USB Server by Keyspan. It allows ANY USB device to be shared on a network (as if it were plugged direclty into any PC).See my Amazon review. It is the ONLY answer to multifunction sharing.
Great! but...... server is rs232 only (not USB) : ( . ooops, my printer(s) are USB only - now what do i do? otherwise, the device works just dandy (replaced my lame Linkys 4-port without hassle)
D-Link DI-707P Cable/DSL Router, 7-Port Switch, Print Server Reviews
Works great good support . My new 707P, in operation over a month, seamlessly replaced separate a SonicWALL SOHO firewall and 8-port 10/100 switch for less than the cost of Sonic's annual support, plus adding network print server capability for my HP LaserJet 5MP. I didn't need all of Sonic's extra-cost features (VPN, virus, content filtering, etc.). Setup, including configuration, options, and automatic time service, were a snap, and served-printer installation on both Windows and MacOS is well explained. D-Link answered a support call on the first ring, and a human technician was very helpful in answering my questions right the first time.
D-Link DI-707P Cable/DSL Router, 7-Port Switch, Print Server Opinions
What do you expect? . ok, so the thing has all the features in the world except a programable firewall. Competition for the feature set (8ports, firewall, router, and print server) is NIL. Great feature set for home networkers (Hint to NETGEAR and LINKSYS.)
It would be very nice if they would make it so it lasts longer than 1 1/4 years. Yep, bought September of '04, replaced the super-cheap cHINESE transformer at about 6 months. Now totally dead at 15 months of age.
Sure buy a 12 month warranty and get the only one to last longer....... Solution I'm using: Buy 2 and keep one (after testing of course) for a spare since feature set is a killer, cHINESE quality appears to be somewhat sub-par for electronics made in this millenium.

UPDATE: January 2006
I'm baaaaack. Yes, bought a pair of them in December, did not even get 2 months out of the first. Back it goes. Amazing that they haven't quite picked up on a new term that has only been popular for about 60 years - "Quality CONTROL." I'm now shopping the other brands so I can pay more to them rather than keep monkeying around replacing these. It is fairly clear that someone is not trying to make a QUALITY image for themselves. Don't want to be crying - but forwarned consumers are now for-armed..........

Cons Review
Firewall support is not like like D-Link Advertises . All the features work well and are a breeze to setup, except one. This router does all the things you would expect it to in a very stable manner, except one. If you check the D-Link Web site for the manual of this exact router model. You will find some rather nice firewall features (My whole reason for getting this router actually). When you set up the router, you will find that there is no firewall button. It absolutely does not exist. The manual has an actual screen shot of the setup screen with a firewall button in plain view and it details how to use the firewall, but the product came with no such option. I am very disappointed, and feel very mislead.
Great....when working . This router has been nothing but frustration; I bought it because I thought the idea of two computers sharing a printer through one router was a great idea; and it is....a great idea that is. I have to reboot the router at least once a week, frequently not having access to the internet and/or printer. Frequently I get LAN errors; when I bypass the router everything works great. The reset button doesn't do anything that I am aware of; I mistakenly threw out the box so I think I am stuck with it.
When this router is working, everything is great; but when it isn't you can count on spending at least an hour getting everything set up again.
I am very disappointed; this is my first router/print server combo and I had high hopes of smooth sailing.
No Firewall Administration Options as showed in DLink Page . I recently purchase this item, I found that there is no Firewall Administration Options in the menu as showed in the DLink Product Page Manual (Everything else is good). I'm talking with the Dlink support and have no solution. DLink support team says "There are no firewall options on this router. To open ports on these routers you will use vserver and applications. Thank you for networking with D-Link. "
