Cisco-Linksys PLUSB10 Instant PowerLine USB Adapter Reviews
Works great too . Once again The adapter and the bridge from Linksys work great. It was easy to install and I would tell anyone to give this a try if you don't want to run a 50 ft cable threw your house or feel uneasy about wireless.

Cisco-Linksys PLUSB10 Instant PowerLine USB Adapter Opinions
A great product . I bought this product several years ago and have used it on different computers having windows 98, 2000, and XP. I recently set it up on a computer with XP: plug it in, and when XP recognizes it has a new device and asks if you want windows to set it up, choose yes, and then it will take you through a few windows letting you locate and choose the drive the product CD is in so that windows can install from the CD. I did not let windows do this at first try, installing directly from the product CD, and it didn't work. I uninstalled and tried again letting windows do its thing, and it worked perfectly. I have had no problems with this product and have used it most every day for years. I find it very useful if you don't have wireless. Several computers in different rooms or the same room can be plugged into the wall and access the internet with no problems. I have an old house with old wiring around 1952, and I am amazed how this product works. In my opinion, it is a great product. During my first attempt to install with XP, I read reviews hoping to get a little help with installation and found a lot of people frustrated. I hope this review helps someone, especially when setting up the product with XP.

Linksys PLUSB10 . I tested the device and it worked as specified. I purchased it to demonstrate Ethernet Over Powerline. Mike
just clearing things up . this is a great product, but do be aware in needs Win 98SE or higher!
Cons Review
Don't Use Linksys Powerline . I purchased this and the PLEBR10 (bridge) to set up a home powerline network. Plain and simply, it sucked. Everything else I have is Linksys (router, wireless B and wireless B+G). I had no problem working the listed items together and wanted to add Powerline. The Powerline items couldn't see each other and the setup instructions didn't tell you what components you needed to make the system work. I bought the NetGear Powerline products. They arrived and worked fine with full instructions....
What a pain . It does a great job but installing the software and getting it to work are VERY difficult.
There are much better solutions than this.
Netgear and IOGear come to mind.

Did not do the trick . Thought I could use the product to run a printer on a network without the ethernet. No success but don't feel bad...I tried three others including an Apple Express - all chocked somewhere in the configuration or network niceness.
Incredibly disappointed . On page 4 of the User Guide available online, it says that this product needs Windows 98. After paying for 2nd day air and opening up the product it becomes evident that it really needs Windows 98SE. It is useless to me and I'll have to send it back.
