Looks good Installs easiliy certified CAT6 - Perfect . I was concerned about quality because of the low price and mine was a Fortune 100 customer. Since I had the lead time to replace it if it were junk I ordered these for the job. When they arrived I examined them and they looked pretty much like every other one I had ever purchased at 2 or 3 times the price - so they went into the racks.

No problems with the install, no complaints from the techs, compliments from the client and most importantly every line, on every panel passed the tests to be certified CAT6 and that is all it is supposed to do! I have found my panels for the future.

TRENDnet 16-port Cat6 Unshielded Patch Panel TC-P16C6 Reviews
Good quality for the price . I am using two of these patch panels for my home network. Installation was smooth after fixing a couple of loose connections due to the slightly less then sturdy construction of the cable assembly on the back of the panel. Once installed, all connections perform at 1Gbps without any problems.

It is a patch panel - what more can I say? . My electrician installed this in a 19" Kendall rack, so I cannot comment on ease of use.
It works fine. It handles 1Gb without problems. I have not tried to see if it works with 10Gb.
Easy to punch down color code on the back mounts nicely and cheap . I needed a cat-6 panel for my wiring closet and this panel was cheap. Wiring all 16 ports took far less time than doing the wall plate ports. The panel is sturdy enough for what it is and has two clips on the back to provide a little bit of strain relief on the cables.

Frankly there's not much to say. It works, it's cheap, and there's color code guides on the back to simplify life.
When your home network grows too big . When my home network got too big, I decided to wall mount a Cat6 patch panel and 1gb router (see my other reviews).

This Cat6 patch panel replaces the (then) good-enough set of Cat6 jacks I fitted in a 4 x 3 port faceplate on a 2-gang wall mounted box. Now, not only do I have a neater network area, I can also reuse the Cat6 jacks that were formerly mounted in the box.

After punching down 8 of the 24 ports and routing the cables through the cable holder as shown in diagram 5 (I will upload photo), I've discovered that it's very cramped near the hinged side of my 4U wall mounted bracket. If I have to punch down more connections, I'll probably need a different cable layout strategy.
Great Product at the BEST PRICE!! . As always Amazon had the best price, I don't know why I even shop prices anymore, and Trendnet has always offered great products and support when needed. I would recommend this to anyone
Perfect for home use! . We bought this for our whole house internet as well as whole house audio (which is ethernet-based). This unit is the perfect size for what we needed. It installed easily into our rack and seems to be great quality...we have not had any problems with any of the ports.
Great product great price . We've been running Cat 6 cables throughout the house, even though we have wireless, as a wired connection is always faster and Cat 6 can also be used to run different types of signals...not just network.

All of these outlets run back to my server closet and to this patch panel. Which, provided you have the punch down tool, is easy to use and is much easier than making RJ-45 plug ends!

Punching down is way easier than crimping. Amazon ships super fast and this a great product.
Very pleased . When I ordered the patch panel, it wasn't quite clear to me what I was going to get. I was getting one because people I respect in this area told me to get one to clean up the space where 8 CAT-6 cables come together, but I really didn't know what I was getting or how it would be helpful.

To start with, the picture is misleading. You don't get everything in the picture. The picture shows what 16-, 24- and 48-port patch panels look like. You only get one--the one you order.

But here's how it works. You cut all the CAT-6 cables coming in to length, then use a punch tool (two were enclosed) to push the wires into receptacles on the back side of the panel (the side you can't see in the picture). Then you just plug ethernet cables into the openings in the front--and voila, you have a very neat-looking setup.

One concern I had coming in was that I wanted to mount the patch panel between studs (16" OC) in my basement, but the patch panel is designed to be used in a rack with bars 19 inches apart. It turned out that the 16-port panel worked great--the outside space on both ends is vacant, so the whole thing slid in easily between studs. I don't think this would work with the 24- or 48-port panels, but it worked great with the 16-port panel. In fact, I found that one space that was double-studded left exactly the right amount of room for the patch panel, and I was able to press it into place and have it hold without using any nail or screws at all!

I've been using the panel for several months now and have had absolutely no problems so far.

Cons Review
Not CAT6 complaint . This product doesn't completely comply with CAT6 requirements up to 250Mhz. After installation, every single one of my lines fails NEXT and PSNEXT tests at >=218Mhz.

If you want a product that will stand up to CAT6 specifications, avoid this one.
