The Danelectro DA-4 is a 9 volt fixed or variable 9 volt power supply. Powers up to 15 pedals total. The variable 3-9 volt feature allows you to get cool vintage tones boosting the sound of your distortion, overdrive or fuzz pedals by lowing the voltage. Many guitarist like the sound of a dieing 9 volt battery now you can get the same effect with the Dan Electrode. How cool! 2 Supply Modes: FIXED 9 VOLT: A Solid and Steady Supply that ensures that you get the very best tone from every pedal.VARIABLE 3-9 VOLT Produces gritty vintage tones from most distortion, overdrive, and fuzz pedals by starving them for voltage. Powers up to 15 pedals

Nifty little variac supply! . This thing is very cool! It does what it is advertised (starve your effects pedals of voltage) and helps create new and somewhat "sick" sounds out of your gear. It works best with true-bypass pedals (not a plug, but Dano's older Deli and larger pedals from the '90s) as it starves the voltage from them, allowing a greater tweakability factor to occur. Other pedals, like Boss, cut out before you starve it too much, due to their electronic bypass feature. However, I ran the DA-4 in to my old Boss Super Chorus and fiddled around a bit, garnering a cool Fender Vibrola sound. It also made neat theremin sounds through my Dano Delay pedal. The price is right if you like to tweak, and you won't get electrocuted!

Danelectro DA-4 Dan Electrode 9 Volt Power Supply Reviews
Spooky Sounds . The Danelectrode has a knob that allows you to set how much volts you want to feed your pedals with (3V to 9V), by giving less power to them, you can get some really spooky sounds; great fun, but can also help give you your characteristic sound. I also like the fact that you connect it vertically on the outlet, this allows to connect any other stuff to the same outlet because it does not take all the space on it, like other adapters do. The price is great, I'm planning to have several of this.

Danelectro DA-4 Dan Electrode 9 Volt Power Supply Opinions
Sometimes the magic works somtimes it doesn't . I like the Dan Electrode but I noticed dropping the voltage on some of my pedals really changes the effect (turned my Heavy Metal into a sick fuzz and my LavaBox into a primitive distortion), and on others dropping voltage can mean a slight loss of sustain(Onerr Overdrive) or volume(FrenchToast) and thats it. It's still a good 9volt power supply but the voltage drop feature doesn't always 'wow' you.
