Great but beware of Windows updates . Performance - 5 stars.
Reliability - 4 stars
Tech Support- 5 stars

EDIT: Problem below (previously posted) was NOT Sabrent's fault! I now rate this 4-5 stars.
-------------
After 3 days of incredible performance, 5 bars solid where before I was averaging 2-3, the Sabrent NT-WGHU High-Power 1000mw Wireless USB 802.11g Adapter crapped out. My PC detected its presence but where the reception bars are displayed was a big red X. Clicked the troubleshoot option but it only declared that it was not connected. Physical connection was fine. A reboot and driver reinstall was no help. Seller sent another unit but it too did not work!
-------------

EDIT: Maybe this will help others with the same problem. The problem was that some automatic Windows update (Windows 7) made the NT-WGHU software bomb out. When I did a Windows restore to a week earlier restore point the reinstall went flawlessly and the Sabrent came right back up to 5 bars. It's scary though that I have to check after any Windows update to see if everything still works. So I give it only 4 stars on reliability.

I must mention that Sabrent's telephone support was EXCELLENT. The number I got off the internet connected to California... not around the world. There was zero wait to talk to a tech. First guy gave a few recommendations on uninstalling/installing which didn't help. (I had done that stuff already but thought I'd dutifully try again). I called back within 15 minutes and immediately connected again, but to a different guy. He suggested the Windows restore routine which worked.
Sabrent NT-WGHU High-Power 1000mw Wireless USB 802.11g Adapter for Wardriving & Range Extension with 7" Folding Booster 6dbi Reviews
works for me . I'm deployed in Afghanistan and there's Wi-Fi in my camp but my computer was having a hard time connecting to it. A buddy of mine had this exact same antenna and recommended it to me. I use Windows XP, it didn't work at first but I had realized that I didn't follow the instructions properly (don't plug in the device until after everything is installed). Once I un-installed it and re-installed properly it worked great, I get full signal even in the metal container they have me living in. I bought a 15' USB extension because I figured I'd need to run it out my door because of my steel room, but I don't need it at all. Simple, affordable, and effective. Just what I want when I spend my money. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is I wish it were simple plug'n'play, you do have to download and install the software to get it to work and disable your current antenna.

Great buy! . I went from getting a couple of networks with just a few bars with the built in wireless adapter on my Dell Inspiron Laptop, to getting 3 times as many networks, most of them 4-5 bars of signal strength, with the Sabrent NT-WGHU adapter. It runs pretty cool as well and was absolutely a good buy!
Very Pleased . The Sabrent solved my problems.
Replaced another adapter that cost 10.00 more and worked much worse.
Now I get 100% Signal and 96% Link Quality, the Hawking Brand I replaced, cost more only gave me 85% Signal and 72% Link Quality.
Highly Recommend the Sabrent.....
Great for range & security testing! . This is a USB wireless adapter that is rugged, well designed and worth the money. The most attractive things about the Sabrent NT-WGHU has got to be the price being right, at $19 you won't go wrong. Second has got to be the way the device is used. It's no secret that the Sabrent is perfect for wardriving. Wardriving essentially means finding accessible WiFi hot spots at a moments notice including scanning large ranges of areas using a laptop while on the move. But wardriving need not only be a way to "steal" someone's internet in some shady way. This device is perfect for those that are in universities! The wireless connection of the Sabrent is very good unlike some thumb sized wireless adapters which have a tendency to go out or just not find wireless networks within range. You won't find that with the Sabrent. When I was in college this was one of the most useful tools I could have in conjunction with my laptop. Some complain that the drive looks very sketchy in that it's so large. That's somewhat true depending on where you live. If you're in a city, for example, people have all sorts of things plugged into their laptop. The body of the device itself is slender enough but the antenna does stick out. Personally I haven't found this to be a problem.I've used this in Windows and various Linux distributions. Unlike some smaller and more convenient wireless adapters, the Sabrent was always well supported which means it is versatile. Computer security enthusiasts interested in penetration testing (which is how most, including myself, find out about this Sabrent) should know that packet injection is possible with the unit. In fact it is chosen most by those studying security with Backtrack as it can easily be used on most system types and architectures. The only other device that gets equally the same amount of props is the AWUS036H. So if this is your bent then the Sabrent is truly the best choice available.I think this is really a great/well priced versatile adapter.
Works as advertised. . Well, the drivers that came with it do NOT work with Windows 7 x64, and BackTrack is version 3 (newest is 5, as of writing). But that's alright, because it WORKS and I like it.It does have a detachable antenna so that you can put on an even more powerful one if you wish, and it is nice that it actually came with installation discs and a PROPERLY spelled manual. (Chinese products often have bad manuals).Overall, a great buy, and recommended to anyone interested in "Wireless network hacking/auditing."For me, it serves as a second network card so I can allocate two IPs to my computer and other various stuff. Not sure if the driver needs to be installed, but the LED light does not light up or blink. It's not a problem because the thing does work.

Cons Review
Not Mac Friendly . I have been working on installing this product for well over 6 hours, with no luck. The listing, as well as the packaging and manual advertise compatibility with Mac 10.4 or Later. Currently, I'm running 10.6 on a MacBook Pro and trying to find drivers is difficult. I spoke with Tech Support (who were very friendly and willing to help), and they sent me directly to the RealTek website due to the fact that it operates on a RT8187 chip. Unfortunately all drivers were "unavailable" according to the site. The package does come with an installation disc, complete with drivers for Windows, Linux and Mac. However if you have a slot feed disc reader, you will have to have an external drive that has a disc tray as the install disc is miniature. Also, the drivers included for mac are for 10.3 and 10.4.The process is very frustrating for someone used to plug and go.
STILL WORKING WITH UNIT . THE DISK WOULD NOT LOAD DOWN ON MY DELL DESKTOP WITH PROFESSIONAL XP PROGRAM. I AM STILL WORKING TO GET IT TO DOWN LOAD, SO UNTIL I DO, I DO NOT KNOW HOW EFFECT THE WIRELESS UNIT WILL WORK.
