Works flawlessly for me. . I feel compelled to write a review after seeing the two 1 star reviews before mine. This works flawlessly for me with my ASUS dual band router, no problems at all and couldn't ask for better performance. I'd like to have the little stand that came with the previous model for extended use with a desktop computer, but otherwise I'm perfectly happy.

It's ok but cheaper alternatives abound. . This adapter worked fine for me. Windows 7 didn't have a driver for it automatically like it has for so many of my other devices, but one came on the included CD. I didn't bother installing the whole program, just pointed Windows to the driver folder, and it found what it needed. This item looks and functions just like several other adapters I've tried, and isn't any faster than two other "N" wireless adapters (both similar). I'm using it in an office situation with my desktop computer there, to reach an "N" hotspot not far away. So, I didn't really test the range, but it showed as 4 bars from me (other adapters did too). I got about 15 Mbps down/up (varied quite a bit when I ran speedtestdotnet multiple times), which is what I got with the other comparable adapters I tried. IF you have the compatible Belkin routers that send/receive on both frequencies simultaneously (N600 and N750 I think), this adapter may perform better than others and be worth its asking price. BUT, I was hoping for something a little better than what I already had for use with regular wireless-N routers, or could get for less than a third the price, and in that it failed. If you just want to upgrade a laptop or desktop to wireless-N capability, there are much cheaper units out there (I like monoprice). If you're pushing for speed and have the appropriate dual-band router to take advantage of that option... well, try it, and read other reviews. I can't comment on its performance in that situation. Keep in mind though, that you may have a bottleneck in the speed being delivered via your cable to your router. Speeding up router to computer times may not actually speed up anything if the bottleneck is further upstream.

Belkin N600 DB Wireless Dual-Band USB Adapter (Latest Generation) Opinions
Works well and compact in size . For some reason I thought this would be a bit larger than it is because of the previous one I have. I'm glad its small and compact, only slightly bigger than a usb thumb drive. The setup was easy, put the cd disc in the pc first and then when its all finished you plug in the usb adapter and it is instantly recognized. I'm using this in a desktop tower pc so I don't have the sticking out issues that others have noted using laptops. The range seems to be good and I like that it has dual band because my router has the same and it will auto switch itself to get the best connection. The up and download speeds seem to be a bit faster than my old one which is great when playing online RPG games there seems to be no lag anymore. I hope this adapter lasts because the one I have now although it still works fine, is now 4 years old and the technology is outdated as it only had 80211 a b g, this new one has a b g and N and most of my other equipment is also working on N.I think its a great adapter and worth the price. It was real easy to install and so far everything is working better than my older adapter.

Nice product works well. Easy installation & setup . Reviewing product like this is easy: They work or they don't.Installation is a breeze. Put in the CD and install the driver. If you lost the CD, you can download it from their website. Insert the adapter and press the button on your Wireless N router.I also have a less expensive NETGEAR RangeMax Next Wireless-N USB Adapter WN111 - Network adapter - Hi-Speed USB - 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n (draft). Plugged into the same computer both adapters show me the exact same networks with the exact same number of bars.My only complaint pertains to size. It's a bit too chunky so it's hard or impossible to use the USB port under or above it without using a 6in USB 2.0 Extension Adapter Cable A to A - M/F. With this cable, I suggest letting the adapter hang so that it's vertical (which increases the range).
Works Well for Me With Speed and Extended Range. . I'm using this product with my laptop and my Belkin N600 router, and have noticed improvement in both speed and range. Even when fairly close (1 room away) from the router, I'd often get only 4 bars out of 5, and using it in the upstairs bedroom had been impossible. The adapter arrived very well packaged, and was really easy to install. You insert the included cd, follow the simple directions, plug in the adapter and you're done! After testing it for a few days, I noticed I always had 5 bars when 1 room away, and, better than that 3-4 in the kitchen where I'd always had problems - I could get 2-3 before, but had to play around with the laptop to get the best signal. I can now take it out there and use it wherever I want. Best of all is being able to use it in the upstairs bedroom - I now get a strong enough signal to watch movies and videos, as well as doing everything else I use my computer for. That alone would be well worth the price, but the faster overall performance makes it even better!
Handy device . In today's world few people own laptops that don't already have wifi built into the system. BUT!! if you have a desktop upstairs and your wireless access point is down stairs and don't want to buy a wireless card, e.g., no slots available; or you don't want to run cable upstairs or you have a laptop that doesn't have built-in wifi then this is the item for you. All you need is a computer with a USB2 port on it you should be OK. I tried this on a spare machine and put it at the opposite end of my house from my wireless router and had plenty of signal to get email and use the internet. I just thought of another really good use for this device. If you want to limit your children's use of the internet just use this device and pull it out when you want them off the net.
Great Network Adapter for Belkin Equipment . If you currently own a Belkin router, the Belkin N600 DB wireless dual-band USB adapter is perfect to easily connect your laptop or desktop computer to your network without wires. I cannot say whether the adapter will work with any other brand of router. The adapter and software (CD) are simple to install and easy to use.The adapter provides speeds up to 300 Mbps+. I found that the adapter allowed for faster HD streaming and online gaming on my network using my laptop. This product could not be any simpler or easier to install and use. Just insert the CD, install the software, plug in the USB drive, and you're ready to go. If you're looking for a quick way to connect to your network, Belkin's wireless USB adapter is a great product.
Good with design compromises . There's certainly no reason to disparage this product's ability to deliver speed; within minutes of setup, my laptop was obtaining excellent speeds fully equal to those normally obtained with the laptop's built-in (Intel) wifi card. And the setup itself is fairly straightforward, notwithstanding the onscreen instruction to "Please insert your wireless card."That aside, I had to wonder why Belkin chose not to design this like its predecessor (F5D7050), which, with its rounded contour also provided a handy spot to store the cap. (A Google image search of that product number will make this statement clearer.)I also would worry a bit about the problem of many similar USB products that stick out of the side of a laptop--so easy to snap off. For long-term use with a laptop, I'd choose to use this adapter with a retractable USB cable. More care in the design (such as an angled connector) might have yielded a better product.
Perfect Product . I purchased this due to the fact that my internal wifi card ate crap. This was a breeze to install and it is actually faster than my internal card. Outstanding product.
Cons Review
What a phenominal piece of crap this is . OK, it's cheap. I'll give it that. You're REALLY getting what you pay for, tho. It may only work with the Belkin router, rest assured it does NOT work with the Cisco, and every other device I use has no problem with it.First of all, don't ship an Internet device without the drivers, in hope that the end user will get them from the Internet. Does that fundamental logic escape anyone?Second, spend some time perfecting your install routine. Having it go through the process, request a log in to the router and then fail 'for unknown reason' doesn't help meThird, man your customer support line. If you want to put 24/7 on the box, then be there 24/7 or say when you'll ACTUALLY pick up a phone. To anyone reading this - don't buy this unless you use their router.
