A good USB 3.0 Hub at a good price . I've just connected this small four port USB 3.0 Hub to my new Thinkpad W520 laptop. It was recognized immediately by my laptop. I've connected one USB 3.0 hard-drive into the hub. It also was immediately recognized by my laptop. It did require on first use that the hub be plugged in and recognized, followed by plug-in of the harddrive. I'm now getting USB 3.0 speeds through this device. The device itself is small and very light in weight but appears solid in build. With cables connected it won't stay put on a flat surface without being velcroed down or otherwise secured. It has a blue led to indicate its power supply is connected. The provided USB 3.0 ribbon cable connecting the device to the computer works but feels cheap compared to other USB 3.0 cables I've purchased. It does the job.So far, with a couple days use, I'm satisfied with this device. Especially so, considering the problems folks are having getting external USB 3.0 devices to be recognized by and maintain a continuous connection with their computers. This device is on the low price end of USB 3.0 four port hubs. For light duty and travel it seems perfectly adequate.
