Works great on Windows 7 . I actually installed it today and windows7 detected the card with no problem. Most likely this is the best deal.
The price is great and the card works great so far. Device drivers was easy to install and ran "update device drivers" with no problem in the properties.

As a note. The card is backwards compatible with wireless b and g. However it only takes wireless N at 2.4GHz NOT 5GHz.

Why this could be a big deal and not a big deal?
The problem it may cause is that a lot of routers are given the choice to broadcast wireless N on a different signal such as 5GHz because not all current devices are wireless N compatible. So wireless G would then be broadcasted on 2.4GHz.

Maybe not such a big deal because Signal levels at 5GHz are horrible. If you want the most out of wireless N you should make sure it is broadcasted at 2.4GHz.
Why is 5GHz so horrible? because the higher the frequency the closer it becomes to "light" the lower the frequency the closer it is to "Sound". "Light" has a hard time traveling through walls compared to "Sound".

From my experience wireless N broadcasted at 5GHz is not even worth the wireless N experience. So make sure your wireless N service is broadcasted at 2.4GHz before purchasing this card.
TP-Link TL-WN851N 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter Reviews
Works great fast but documentation is a bit thin . This works great in my high end homebuilt Win7 ultimate machine, but the documentation is a bit thin and the drivers were not Win7 (probably addressed by now) and I had to spend a bit of time finding them on the website.

It does what it is supposed to do, does it well, and the price was very attractive.

I'd say, if your technologically inclined, buy it, if you're not, spend more and get a different solution that is a major brand.
TP-Link TL-WN851N 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter Opinions
Great wifi device for desktop. . My modem is in my living room separated by a think wall to my room where the computer is. The signal stays full constantly and has not dropped once. Even better is that it automatically worked with windows 7 default drivers out of the box.
Pretty good . Pretty good card. Gives me better speeds than I had before, although I don't get 5 bars, it's good enough
reliable . i bought this for my sister's desktop because she's disconnecting a lot in our wifi network. after i installed it, problem solved! thanks a lot....
It seems to be ok . I installed this wireless card before installing windows 7 64 bit. Windows recognized the card and installed what seemed to be the appropriate drivers. However, my computer would loose wireless signal frequently, especially during large downloads. Approximately 10 days passed and I had intentions of returning the card during this time I continued to do windows updates and eventually, without my noticing at first, the card started to work well. Its now been a couple of weeks without any trouble from this card.
Good device . This is a very good wireless. It gets a much better signal than our usb transmitter and installation on a windows 7 pc went without issue. I would buy again.
Wireless Network Card: TP-Link TL-WN851N 300Mbps . The delivery of the product was exceptional! The product in general is not very good as I have had many problems with it. I have installed the card on both a Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit computers. I made sure I used drivers from the manufactures website to make sure I had the most up-to-date drivers possible. In both systems the link between the card and the router would drop every minute to two minutes and then reconnect itself. Also, the speed never reached 300Mbps connection speed but only 150Mbps. The router sites about 40 feet roughly from the computer and no interference (walls) between the two. The only thing that has seemed to help slightly but still has not resolved this issue completely is having the latest Microsoft Windows Updates installed. I would not recommend this product since you could spend $10 to $20 more and get a better product that is known to work perfectly with these two OS's.
Working in Win7 Ultimate x64 System . It works in my PC, but not only install the driver, I also install the adapter application for xp system with compatible mode.

Cons Review
work terribly with windows 7 . I need to pull it out and plug it again when I start windows every single time. No matter what driver I am using, the one comes along in the CD, the one downloaded from official website, or the Atheros driver originally comes with the windows 7. All these drivers wont be detected when I restarted my desktop computer. The adapter gives "can't start code (10)" in the device manager every time. What I have to do is open the desktop case once again, and pull the card out, then start windows, then shut it down again, then plug the card in. Annoying? If you use Windows 7 or If you will upgrade to Windows 7 someday, DONT buy this one.
