Excellent AP . I've set up many AP's. I am very impressed by the EAP-3660. I've had mine up for 7 months now and I have not had 1 problem. The range is very good and consistent even through walls. I have used other AP's including other Engenius protects and I have found their performance claims to be exaggerated. However, this is not the case for the EAP-3660 which is clearly a step up from most AP's when speaking signal strength. I mounted my unit on the ceiling and it is no more noticeable than a smoke detector. I am powering it using the EnGenius EPE-5818af POE adapter, which I thought was overpriced, but it does make the ceiling installation much easier not having to worry about a power plug. I am using the EAP-3660 as a guest wifi in my office. I've had many people with different laptops and phones connect to it without and glitches. I strongly recommend this product.

Extended coverage . Web based access. I don't know about "guest mode" but there is a configuration available to have seperate SSID's and encryptions. If I recall correctly, that is the new "guest mode" for Access Points. Hee hee, I live in a hi-rise and my neighbors rent my internet. Why make everyone feed the big guys? Am I nice or what? BTW, EnGenious makes a other reliable AP's and adapters. Can't figure out why they aren't a big name, they should be.

Good Product . I installed this unit in a concrete building and the range is surprisingly good. Also the design is pretty slick and inconspicuous compared to other access points with antennas. The configuration is pretty straight forward. Good value and well worth the price.

Great access point to replace MULTIPLE standard A/P's! . I purchased this to replace several SMCWEB-N A/P's with. We've had problems with the SMC A/P's where they constantly need to be rebooted to reconnect to our LAN and internet. We installed ONE of these, using the VLAN feature (you need VLAN capable switches and routers to do this), and we now have just ONE Engenius EAP-3660 installed, using it for guest and secure traffic in our store. We will add a third VLAN to it for our wireless scales soon. Excellent range throughout our store, too, where we used to need an SMC in both the front AND the back of our store, we now have ONE Engenius 3660 in the center of our store, and it works in all corners! I'll be installing one in our other store, too.
good product . Setup easily, worked flawlessly.. that's all ya need it to do right! Never used thier products before but they will be my first choice next time.
