Works with Snow Leopard . Lacie has updated their drivers and this card now works with Mac Snow Leopard 10.6.4. I'm using it with 2009 Mac Pro and it works great. Easy setup and fast connection.

I ordred this for use in my late 2009 Mac Pro in conjunction with two LaCie external storage devices. Since I'm a photographer and archive many large files in a sitting, I needed (and wanted) the ability to maximize the transfer rate of my files. Since I wasn't about to sell an organ to buy Apple's exceedingly overpriced RAID setup, I was in the market for a cost-effective alternative.
It's easy to install, inexpensive and easy to use. For $50 you can't go wrong.
If you're using external storage devices with eSATA capabilities and want to maximize your data transfer rate, this card is definitely the way to go.

Works like a champ . Works really well with my LaCie hard disks. Should probably do some rigorous benchmarking to be sure, but seems much faster than when using the fw800 connections. (Hope it still works as well once Snow Leopard arrives.)

Exceptional Value . This card plugged right in and delivered data transfer speeds like I've never seen. An incredible value for the price! It arrived exceptionally quickly too (always a plus)
Works like a charm . Very easy to install, no driver required on Windows 7 64bit, fast speeds on my 2 external lacie drive's. I can't fault it.
Cons Review
Not compatible waste of money . I'm a photographer and I decided I need more reliable back up so I got a Lacie 4TB big disk and this esata card. I own a MAC Pro and do 90% of my work on it. When searching for a card I looked specifically at cards that are mac compatible with Mac's. This one is, however the driver is out of date and does not work with the current Mac OS: OSX Snow Leopard. So if you are like me and most other mac users and have upgraded, do not buy this card. It's sad to me that it's compatibility is not listed anywhere in the product description here or on LACIE's site. I am going to return the card, I am also finding that for backup Firewire 800 is more than adequate. Only bother investing in a card if you plan to work off the drive itself and are editing hi resolution images, graphics or video. Otherwise it's pretty pointless even with a compatible card.
Loses connection after a few hours . I used this for quite a while under Windows 7 with a continuing problem where the computer would lose access to the external eSata drive (in this case a Drobo S unit) after a few hours. This could be 'fixed' by disabling powering down all drives in the system, but that's basically unacceptable. Updated the drivers, tried various other things, nothing fixed the problem. Replacing it with a StarTech 2 Port PCIe eSata card however did fix the problem. Recommend buying that unit instead. They both use the same controller but the board layouts are quite different, though they likely use the same drivers, so there's some kind of hardware problem with the board design/components. Avoid.
Incompatible with Snow Leopard . This card uses the same Silicon Image chip many similar products use. ON Calling LaCie tech support they told me not to use this product with the latest mac OS (10.6) - it could crash my computer and possibly corrupt my disks.
And you can't boot 10.6 from a drive connected with this card - they plan to release updated drivers for Snow Leopard (no clue as to when) but it is not clear whether the boot issue will be addressed.
