Great product all around . I got this item about 2 months ago to expand on my scarce USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard. I only had 2 ports, and since I am an early adopter of USB 3.0, I already have 3 devices.
The hub works like a charm. No configuration/drivers needed; Windows 7 Ultimate x64 recognized it without any effort from my side. Every device I plug into it stays "online" rock-solid and gets recognized as USB 3.0 100% of the time. Now, here comes a big surprise: before I got this hub, I sometimes had issues with 3.0 ports. Devices would connect as USB 2.0, or the second device connected would make the first one disconnect. With this hub, the issues are gone! My guess is that the ports on the motherboard are underpowered and don't provide enough juice for 2 portable hard drives. This hub, being powered, solves the issue. Better than what I was hoping for!
The only funky issue that I encountered (but couldn't care less about) is that my iPhone, being a USB 2.0 device, would sometimes fail to connect to this hub. For me it is a non-issue since most motherboards currently have many USB 2.0 ports (in my case - 8).
PROS:
- easy installation
- solid build
- 100% stable USB 3.0 operation
- provides "extra juice" so that devices are able to operate at maximum speed
CONS:
- device is so light that once you plug a couple cables, they tend to drag it off where you'd like it to stay
- since it's a powered hub, it is not suitable for travel
- occasional issues with USB 2.0 devices
Despite the cons, I give it 5 stars, since I believe that for quite a few users these issues will not matter much.

Cons Review
Didn't work. . Installed it correctly, went Start/Computer/Right click/Properties/Device Manager to check on installation.
Generic USB Controller showed installed correctly...Didn't work, back in the box, back to Amazon.
Would have given it a higher rating if it would have actually worked. (Just being sarcastic there.)
