The Five-Dollar Fix . I was skeptical that a five-dollar piece would repair my computer. But I installed it and had a working computer again in five minutes. The only problem I've noticed since the installation is the disappearance of my network icon on the screen, but this is a very small issue. Easy card to install. . Read the directions. Plugged in the card. Did what the directions said. It worked. What else is there to say. Everything went well, and I now have a connection. It is nice when everything works the way it should.

Worth Every Penny . As the title states, this was worth every penny.It gives great speed to my connection and I noticed the difference.The page also stops timing out for firefox.I find it hard to believe it was at such a low price.But I'm more thankful because it was affordable.However, it's not as effective without a cat5e ethernet cable or a gigabit router.

Good card works well . Inexpensive. Fast delivery. I simply installed it in my PC, put the mini-cdrom disk in the drive and it installed itself. Been running a few months now with no problems.

Its a $5 Gb network card I should NOT complain .. runs HOT! . My $5.xx card worked , but it took a little prodding
due to a lack of proper instructions or I am just a noob!.hints :first , thing you should do when receive this Gb netowrk card...
is install the software for your O/S from provided CD.... ( mistakenly, I installed card/hardware first ...
... and boohoo ...WinXP did NOT recongnize )1) card was hard to seat in my preferred PCI slot ;
even after bending bottom of metal tab ...
and even fter some dinkering ...
could not make Gb-network card work ... initially ...2) so, I moved/installed PCI Gb card to an adjacent PCI slot, and after
some mechanical adjustments this Gb card finally & fully seated
then, Win Xp happily (but without any notifications ???) installed drivers.For those Pwr-Users like previous reviewers and Myself who desire
a System-ICON for the network adapter ... fear not,
after the initial install, it can be done ..... after a successfull INSTALL then a reboot,
just RT-Click to the " OPEN Networks Connection" settings ...
select the network adapter ; RT-Click Properties:
select: " SHOW ICON ..."fyiw : in WinXp Device Mgr :
card is identified as : REALTEK RTl8169/8110 Gb Ethernet NIC.. I hope this helps youp.s. Why the HUGE empty IC socket ?p.s.s. this card is replacement for a 3-yr-old, DEAD, Trendnet Gb PCI-card ...
unfortunately, while comparing, I discovered that both cards
share identical realtek micro-chips ... urrggg!p.s.s.s. recently noticed the realtek chip on this NIC runs real HOT.
It even radiates from back of PCB and was causing my GPU (fan cooled)
to run warmer also ( sucked-in hotter air).
So, I relocated NIC to the PCI slot furthest from GPU.
Problem solved till NIC burns up.

PCI full size gigabit network card on win 7 64 bit . Installed into PCI slot and started PC- drivers found automatically. Installed on win 7 64 bits with no hassle. Router shows green light of gigabit connection as does the network center. Priced well for under 10 bucks with shipping.
