Airlink 101 awll3026 works great on Linux and W2K . This review is for the Airlink 101 awll3026 which from reports I've seen may be different than the awll3028.

The Airlink 101 awll3026 installed flawlessly and quickly on my Sempron Mobile 3200+ XUBUNTU 8.04 LTS Linux system using the network configuration GUI tool. Installation went much easier than expected since native Linux drivers exist for this device. No additional software was required from the base XUBUNTU 8.04 installation and no command line input was required.

It is working fine on my WEP-64 protected (?) network providing sufficient throughput to stream Youtube videos and streaming audio smoothly to my Sony HDTV. The device is has proven to be compatible with my Linsys WRT54G and Netgear WGR614 home routers.

I previously used this USB2.0 wireless device on a P3 833 MHz Windows 2000 machine where it maintained good link over 40 feet distance through three walls. The supplied drivers installed quickly and configuration was simple.

I'm satisfied the device and the original sale price of $10.00 (from Frys) makes me a happy camper.

Great Alternative . This is a great alternative to adding wireless to old Mac ppc running OSX and Linux all setup is easy since this doggle is based on the Realtek RTL8187B Drivers

Cons Review
Bad reception no native linux support. . This is not to be confused with the airlink 101 awll3036 they are totally different. The 3026 natively supports Linux. So now I have to patch some drivers together to make it work in Linux (pain in the butt) but its works in windows fine, this card has the worst reception of any usb 802.11 stick I have used.
