Serves the purpose . This works well. I havent had any issues. While its not a true 7 port as you can actually see only 4 USB connectors in your hardware configuration once you have this conected to your desktop/laptop. Tips over easily if the connections arent balanced front and back. Would have been good to have a LED for each port as a means to ensure the ports are working.

A good USB hub . I am a long time Windows user. I bought this Tripp-Lite USB hub to expand my daughter's new iMac (OS 10.4). While I was researching the USB hub, I realize that not all USB hubs are created equal. I want something that will definitely work with the iMac even though I might need to pay a bit more. To my delight, the product works very well, and I have no problem to set it up. To balance its light-weight base, I use connections from both the front and the back and it stands up pretty stable. My daughter is pretty happy with it, and I am a satisfied customer. If the price could just come down a bit, I would definitely rank it 5 stars.

Great Hub Port . This is just I'd hoped for: small, powerful and lots of ports. I can now use it to charge my iPod, sync my PDA to my computer/Outlook. I simply love it. I thought because of the reasonable price I was going to get a low powered hub that wouldn't be any better than the one I was replacing. But no... great price and great product!

hub . I've been using this product for a few months now and I am very happy with it. It has solved my connection problems and is very reasonable in price and takes up very little space. It is easy to hook up and use.
Solid performer and easy to use . I bought this hub to replace a no-name hub that went belly-up and have been well pleased. It can operate as a powered or unpowered hub. It has 5 ports on the back, which I use for the things that stay plugged in all the time, and 2 convenient ports on the front for those things that only plug in occasionally. I have had it for almost 3 years and have no complaints with its function. The only thing that is a little irritating is that the hub has a tendency to rise up in front as the cables plugged into the back weigh it down. It would be nice to have some way to affix the bottom or weight it down to keep this from happening. It does not effect the performance of the hub, though.
Front Ports Seem To Be Upside Down . Bought this product since I was looking for a 7-port hub with A/C power. Item is lightweight and tips over easily. I had to plug and unplug a couple of devices to get connection. It is a reasonable hub, but the two front ports seemed to have been manufacturered/installed upside down, since devices plugged in, such as USB thumb drive has to be plugged in upside down so that the indicator light on the device is pointing downwards. I don't understand the logic of this.
As another reivewer pointed out, the build is not top quality, it is flimsy. I will stick with it until I find something better or until it breaks down.

working great . Happy despite having to sacrifice 1 slot for a "fat" connector. Smaller than the pics look like. (thats a good thing)
Cons Review
not great quality or design . This does the job ok. But if you plug in and unplug devices often, then these jacks will drive you up a wall. They are very tight, and far to close together. Look for a better designed one. You'll be glad you did.
Does not supply enough power to attached devices . I'm constantly having a usb hard drive power down and disconnect from the laptop when run thru this powered usb hub. I wouldn't recommend it if you have more than one device attached that might require power. So, ultimately this isn't really worth considering.
