Kills the competition! . I didn't get my hopes up while waiting on this product to arrive being at such a low price, But when it got here and I installed it, I was amazed. I was using a $60 Linksys wireless adapter before this which climed to be top of the line. However I was picking up poor signal. Granted I was 300 feet away from the router. With Linksys I was getting 13.5 mbps, After I installed this adapter, I was picking up internet at a blistering 108 mbps. Pages were loading lightning quick at 300 feet away. If you want a signal boost, I would recommend this little dynamo. And the price is unbeatable.

works great . My router is very close to my computer but behind a 3 foot thick brick wall. This adapter gets "Good" to "Very Good" signal, around 80Mbps, and it's consistent. My old G adapter which was also high power, would get around 24-30Mbps speed, never the full 54 for rated G and would et hot and disconnect once in a while. So, this is a big improvement. The driver worked without any problems, and the quality appears to be very high. I run magicJack, a web server, and an ftp server over this and it works great. No problems.

Sometimes the Alfa 1000 works better, other times this one works better. It all depends on your location. I mainly use this wifi unit with a cantenna or a parabolic antenna. For the price, I personally feel it's a great deal.

Works great . This item has great range. My computer is upstairs and the wireless transmitter is downstairs and it works great. Good buy!
Good Wifi adapter . This adapter uses Ralink chipset and utility which isnt bad, Its software is really user freindly and has good options included. Its built with solid rubber like hard plastic which feels sturdy and wont break. I got this item in about a week and it worked out of the box with the included cd. Installation was a breeze. Works great for the money and I would buy another one in the future too. If you want a good long range wifi adapter but dont really have alot of money then this is it. Works just as good as the big brand names Alfa and Gsky. A must have !!!
P.S. The user manual is also a good thing to have, It confirmed my opinion that when using these high powered adapters your laptop battery life can drain faster and that its important to turn the adapter off if your not using it. This is true to any high power adapter you get. So if your on the road traveling, its important to conserve energy.

Awesome adapter!!! . It worked as described,it worked so well my son borrowed it and he does not want to give it back. I recomended.
difficult installation . web site listed in installation packet no longer exists.took 2 hours to track down support and get properly installed.major pain!
works like expected . I have been using this adapter for a few months now. I use it on a Dell Zino HD mini desktop. Ive never had an issue with signal or connectivity. Unlike my netgear adapter, I never have to unplug it and plug it back it to get it to work. The speed is fast enough for what I do. Its my router that is limiting me.
Real bargain! . Shipping was very quick. Simple plug and play installation with Vista and Windows 7. Did not work with an older XP notebook, but neither did two other expensive "N" Wi-Fi adapters. It loaded quickly and worked VERY well in both my Vista desktop and Windows 7 netbook. Great performance (better signal strength) and low price. A winner! Don't be put off by the small disk (mini-disk?) that comes with it. This is by Ralink (ralinktech.com) and online support is available.
Cons Review
Not good for Mac Pro . I have this connected to a Mac Pro to connect to our home wireless. I have a lot of experience working with wireless networks and am a computer engineer, and I have found this product to be substandard. It uses very rudimentary setup software and does not stay connected. Perhaps I have a faulty unit, but it does work sometimes. While the price was great, it just isn't working for me.
