Belkin is the best . If you are a newbie to wireless internet, the last thing you need is an adapter that is hard to install or understand. This product is neither. As my kids would say, it is so easy even Dad could do it. Simply put the disc in the cd tray and follow the instructions. Couldn't be easier. It takes you step by step and lets you know when to plug in the adapter. The results are pretty much instantaneous. You are on line. I found it even made my older computer work faster. Great product great price.

Belkin A VALUE LEADER !!!!! . I've seen reviews on many different wireless adapters. They are all over the map. This little belkin basic is great.
It say it's for basic use, but it's more than fast enough to play games and stream movies or television.
Many belkin products are very good, this is one of them. A bit of advice for any user runnimg windows Vista, or Windows 7.
Don't bother with software. Plug in an ethernet cable (if possible) and let windows find the drivers, and go from there. Unplug the ethernet wire and you are good to go. I also use many belkin USB chargers, especially in the car. Great value and better than most brands for lasting. I had the wireless adapter going in 4 minutes from the start of opening the box.
Solid product. 5 stars, without taking the price into consideration.

Great buy for the money . We'd been searching the local electronics and computer stores for this item. Most were out of stock for this model and the ones they featured were more expensive. Very easy to install. We were up and running in no time!

WOW-Easy and fast. Better than higher priced models . This is my first review. But I figured I just have to write about this product. I bought the much higher priced model from a MAJOR competitor. After four (4) yes, 4 hours with their so called technical support from some country where English was not a native language, they finally gave up and said the item was defective. WOW. So I boxed it up, got my RMA from Amazon and went out to a local store and bought this model.
In less than 3 minutes from putting the CD in the drive until confirmed internet connection with my router (re: router is from the major competitor and it is good, not great, so far). This was amazing.
Also, the connection bars are now full. The speed is perfectly matched to my DSL and the performance is just amazing.
So save yourself some bucks, get this little adapter and pass on the high priced ones.

It EVENTUALLY worked . I actually bought this adapter at Target because I needed to see if the setup I was contemplating would work and didn't want to incur return shipping costs if it didn't. Target price was $[..] -- same as Amazon's.
I had MAJOR problems getting it to work on an XP-SP3 desktop. The software drivers installed fine -- no error messages -- but the computer would not connect to the router. Tried reinstalling the software from Belkin's website, regening my router, asking Windows to repair the connection, etc. Nothing worked. Spent 1.5 hours with a Belkin tech rep (in India) to no avail, including changing the Services WZC service to 'automatic' from 'manual'. The last thing he said was that I should contact the computer manufacturer to see what 'ails' my computer. Knowing that the computer is working perfectly, that wouldn't resolve the issue. But thinking that maybe the WZC service, which is required when you use a wireless adapter, despite its status showing as "started", wasn't really started unless I rebooted, I rebooted. Voila!, got the adapter to connect.
Bottom line: Yes, the adapter works, but you may have a tough time getting your computer to actually connect thru it. The adapter will be recognized by Windows and the drivers will install properly... but it still may not work. The question that comes to mind for me is "Why didn't the software enable the WZC service as 'automatic' so that when asked to reboot, it would be active?".
