Feature packed device . First thing first, I was part of the beta test program for this device and I received this device for free for testing purposes. My thoughts and opinion on this device are strictly my own based on my needs and use of the device and are non biased. Now that that is out of the way I will say this is a great little feature packed device. It is packaged in a small form factor roughly 4X4 or 5X5 inches in size, has a HDMI connection as well as a port for Ethernet hookup. It's setup is rather fast and effortless, once you turn the device on for the first time you go through a series of screens to help you get the best streaming capabilities out of the device. One thing I like is that no matter what resolution your TV has, this device can output in any of them. I found that AUTO resolution worked best and this is great if you are unsure of the resolution of your TV as it will set it automatically for you. You can even setup the internet while on these main screens, you can choose wireless of direct connection with Ethernet cable. I have tried and used both and found that the connection is strong and doesn't require a lot of buffering when watching online content. Whichever connection method you choose, be aware that if you switch between sources really fast you need to allow and make sure the device connects to the internet if using wireless. There have been times when I do this and find that I cannot connect cause of dropped connection, so make sure you are connected.This device allows you to connect to Netflix, Hulu +, Vudu, among others. There are games you can play, view online photos, even connect to facebook, making this a real all around media device. For those looking for a strictly streaming only device this is IMO one of the best, very fast and user friendly. But, if you are looking to connect to network devices then it is best to look at other netgear devices as this will not do it.Even though I have received this device for free initially, I purchased 4 more of these devices because its very easy to use and allows us to stream content in almost every room of our house. I find this to be one of the best streaming devices and am happy to recommend this to others as well as family members. On a side note, check out the remote application on the I-phone and Android market. You may find yourself using its remote more often than the one that came with the device as its much easier to use.

Netgear NeoTV Streaming Player (NTV200) Reviews
NTV200 Great except for Netflix . The NTV200 is exactly what I was looking for in a media player except for one large issue that I have not been able to resolve. The set up and connection to my router and TV were easy and went as I expected. Pandora, VUDU, UTube, all work as advertised. However I bought this unit primarily to stream from Netflix and I have not been able to resolve the problems with movie playback. I can select Netflix from the Home page and it loads normally. I can search for movies and vue the que as well. When I select a title to play however, I get a pixilated green screen, audio appears normal. I called Netgear who told me this was a Netflix problem. They had me change the hdmi cord and restart the cable modem and router to no avail. They told me the problem was with Netgear not them and recommended I call Roku who may actually make the box. Roku went through some of the same steps but was unfamiliar with the product and sent me back to Netgear. Netgear again told me it was a Netflix problem and demonstrated a very poor understanding of their own product. This thing has the potential to work well and I assume there is some sort of compatiblity issue with my Sony Bravia TV or the Netgear router or some problem with the firmware. If I can't resolve this on my own in the next few days I will be returning the product to Amazon.

Great online player . NETGEAR NTV Streaming Player (NTV200)When you first look at the device, you will notice how small it is, making this device able to be placed just about anywhere. Installation is very simple just plug in the power adapter, the HDMI cable between the device and TV, and decide if you want it connected to the internet, wired or wireless. Easy on-screen prompts guide you effortlessly through the installation. Once installed, you will find many applications to chose from. For instance Netflix, which I found enjoyable being able to full access without having to place anything in my Queue. VUDU with very affordable HD rentals, which the device automatically adjusts the quality to your service provider. This device allows access to many other applications as YouTube, Facebook and so many others, that would be impossible to list every one. Updates when needed, display on the screen, and are a simple two button operation.
For the price you can't go wrong with this attractive device, made by NETGEAR, who has manufactured high quality products for years.

Great Little Streamer . I just bought this device and I was excited to try it out. Even though it doesn't have support for Amazon VOD it does have Vudu. I plugged it into my TV and my first impression was that I really liked the main menu system. It's much better than the Roku's. In my limited use of the device so far I can say that it's a great little streamer. Personally I only use it for Netflix and Vudu. For me the other channels don't interest me much. YouTube is nice to have but I'm not a huge fan of YouTube Leanback. I am a huge fan of the Android App that allows you to control this device from your Android device though (iOS is also supported). I owned 2 Roku's and while satisfied with those devices, I wanted to see what else was out there so I gave the NTV200 a try. It doesn't quite have the content that the Roku has and you can't connect external drives to it. However if you're OK with that, you should be happy with this device. In a few days I'll be posting a video about this streamer on my YouTube channel (TechHarvest).
Sleek Styish and Impressive... . I received this unit for free after participating in the beta test for the device, this review is non-biased and based solely on my own thoughts and impressions after spending a significant amount of time using the device.With that out of the way, I must say that this is a very impressive solution for streaming of applications, such as, netflix, pandora, hulu, and several other applications. The device itself is very small, lightweight and probably takes up less space than an alarm clock. The remote follows the same pattern of the main unit, being both small and lightweight. You have two connection options, wired or wireless, and they both work very well. Don't forget about the games that can be played with the remote, a great way to kill some time while you wait for that popcorn to finish popping. The software is very intuitive and user-friendly, making scrolling and browsing through the applications a breeze.If you'd like you can ditch the included remote, and utilize the smartphone app found in the Apple app store, as well as, the Android marketplace. I will be purchasing at least 3 more of these in the coming weeks. I have recommended the product to several friends and for the price, you can't beat it.
Super media streamer works with no glitches! . The NeoTV NTV200 is easy to set up; the software updates automaticaly when you hook up to your wifi; great channel selection; huge number of available channels, and most do not require membership; easy to access menus; 1080p quality (when available from the source).Entry of movie names is a little cumbersome, but I use my computer to move movies into Netflix Instant Queue and they're waiting for me when I fire up the NeoTV.Best features include being able to view the photos you have in your Picasa on-line albums on your TV (makes up somewhat for not being able to connect directly from your PC). You can also 'fling' (using Flingo) Youtube and Vimeo videos to your TV. The NeoTV connects to the Netflix & Vudu paid sites, and also to Pandora, Napster, Facebook, ACM, and tons more free channels.IMHO, the NeoTV NTV200 is a reliable, easy to use option for those of us who don't have smart TVs yet, but do have an HDMI input or two. And its an affordably good deal.
Great little box for Netflix and Vudu! . Bought this so i could stream netflix and vudu. With the extra channels you get it was well worth it. It's great that you can stream pandora radio through my home stereo and TV speakers. For how much I paid, this little box is a steal!
Works great with a wired connection . I'm happy to change my review to 5 stars. After some going back and forth with TWC and NetGear, we were able to resolve the issue - TWC needed to change the channel. Now all is perfect! Still not completely thrilled with NetGear's support (and I will add that TWC's tech support was wonderful), but live and learn.
Neat little box....Streaming galore! . I love that I can stream from my Netflix account and being able to watch my movies on my 40 inch HDTV is much better than watching it on my laptop. NeoTV lets me do this with ease and I don't see any buffering even over my wireless connection. My laptop keeps buffering when watching Netflix. Great for streaming Netflix, YouTube videos and other sites like TED, Blip.tv, news and more. This box is very inexpensive and worth every penny, I may buy a 2nd one for my bedroom TV to get access to Netflix as well.
