Excellent Piece . To save the technical jargon. USB 2.0 will go about 480mbps (mega bits per seccond, or 1/8th of a byte), thats 60 Mega Bytes a second. 60MB/s
PCI will go 133 MB/s or about 1064mbps....
Well your wireless router 'G' runs about 54Mbps,
and your best commercial 'N' type runs 300Mbps.
Pci cards in Some cases will gain a signal better, and a USB is simply more convenient, will not always need drivers (more compatible/versatile), and can be moved to different machines/equipment easily will no install.
This particular item comes with a nice antenna. required no install disk, receives full signal, and works fabulous!
Also it was cheaper then others by far, and Works With Linux unlike other network cards.
