Great device. . What a great little device! Allows playing all types of media files on our HDTV. One drawback - the native HD video taken from our Canon HF series camera Canon VIXIA HF100 Flash Memory High Definition Camcorder with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom isn't recognized (though the format doesn't seem to be recognized by many devices). We haven't had problems with any other videos.
Highly recommended!

Argosy HV675 MediaPlay w/HDMI - Turn your USB Hard Drives & Flash Drive into a Media Player! Reviews
very good product for low price . I have had two others (other brand) and had to return them. This little box has everything the other one missed.
It has HDMI, plays DVD folders exactly like a DVD player.
It is also small (just a bit larger than the 2.5" USB HDD) and therefore very portable.
I would have given it a 5 stars rating if the remote control is larger and contain larger buttons.

Argosy HV675 MediaPlay w/HDMI - Turn your USB Hard Drives & Flash Drive into a Media Player! Opinions
Performed as expected . I was looking for a device to transfer the movies on my external hard drive and selected this product. I was pleasantly surprised when it met all of the manufacturers claims. It not only played the movies, it indexed them and converted the subtitle files as well.

Cons Review
"No device" issue . I bought it to play the music on my 160 gig hard drive on my secondary (outdoor/basement) stereo system.
In this use, this unit is almost adequate ...when it works.
Initially everything went together and worked.
The sound quality throught the analog adapter plug was rather poor.
However, its fine throught the "digital" output.
The trouble started when I turned the unit back on for the next time I wanted to listen to it.
I got a readout on the menu that said "No device" indicating it didn't "see" the hard drive.
After repeated "rebooting" variataions I got it working again.
I've had this issue everytime I turn it off and try to restart it. Usually with success after 10 minutes of effort. This wasn't acceptable, but like I said it is the secondary system and doesn't get constant use. But last night it never did detect the drive.
I admit I haven't been in touch with the seller nor the manufacturer yet. That's on today's "to do " list.
Now, It seems this unit is primarily designed for video use, which I have absolutely no need nor desire for. So my good and bads and conclusion are based on my intended use as a music access point.
OK... the Good...
1. Size...this thing is tiny, a little bigger than a pack of cigarettes.
2. Digital Sound quality...As I said through it's digital connection it's very good.
Now the bad...
1. Device recognition...see above
2. Nothing in the manual as to how to deal with this problem.
3. Can only play one album/folder at a time.
If your music is only stored as it is ripped, you can only play a single album before having to select another. However, if you have a playlist or a folder with a "mix" of individual tracks/songs in it, that folder can be played. But not a collection of albums.
4. There is no shuffle nor random setting.
5. Startup and folder selection requires multiple selections through different menus. You "need" to see the display to navigate through menus. May seem trivial until you want to change songs/folders away from the display.
Conclusion;
IF we can get past the device recognition issue..... AND you only have $75.....
THEN the unit will serve an acceptable purpose ---at this price point.-- ie. I won't feel the need to replace it, even though I'd prefer something that addresses the last 3 bad issues.
