great bang for the buck . great little piece of equipment to get free wifi from noobs that leave their networks open. i went from 1 available open WAP (using the airport on a 13" macbook pro) to over 5 available completely open WAPs.
The wireless utility works great and is even better than the built-in network utility that comes with OSX. awesome deal for the price! can't wait to test it on my linux box.

Pain to install on OS X . The latest drivers are really unstable on OS X Snow Leopard & Lion. They slowed down my systems and crashed them. However, if you can find the version 2 drivers from RALink online (as opposed to the version 4 drivers on disc) this little device works great. Documentation is horribly inadequate and there is little indication of what company makes this device. Took me a couple of hours to track down the version 2 drivers in an online forum by searching for the term "RT2070" which appears on the drivers CD.

Simple to install and use on Windows 7 . I purchased this adapter because I moved my desktop Windows 7 PC temporarily to a room that does not have a wired network jack. I plugged the device into the USB port, Windows 7 set it up automatically, and a few monents later I was online.
