The Dynex 5 port Fast Ethernet Switch works as an easy to use, high preformance, seamless and standard switch to upgrade old networks to a 100 Mbps network and adjust accordingly. Each port supports preformance up to a full duplex data transfer of 200 Mbps in dedicated bandwidth. Its compact size allows it to be coveniently placed on any desktop with minimum clutter or it can be easily be wall mounted. This unit is new but a store return, the packaging has be opened but has been inspected and resealed in its packaging. I gaurantee this to work perfectly or your money back or exchange.

Works. . It works and the performance is decent. I ordered 3 and they are actually daisy chained. WRT54G->200ft(cat6)->switch->50ft->switch->100ft->switch. No impact on internet performance at all. Did not test with LAN data transfers though. These have been reliably working for over a week. If you just need 100mbit performance, buy these.

Works Perfectly . There is not much to say about this product. It works perfectly for my application. I have had two of them, both worked ideally. The product is relatively inexpensive.
If you don't happen to know much about internet-related hardware, make sure you research whether you need a switch, router, or other piece of equipment for your individual needs. Different products have different benefits and limitations.

Dynex switcher . I got this to play systemlink with Xbox 360. It works fine with no lag that I can tell. The only problem was the #3 port did not want to work. I would plug a 360 into all the other ports and it would work fine. I'm no tech geek so if any one knows the problem leave a comment. I got a new one so we will see how it goes.

Hooking wired Cat-5 into wireless WiFi... . That's my photo up there; I got this thing for a steal from Xcessbuy through Amazon.
You can't use a splitter when you have too many devices that require a wired (Cat-5) internet connection and only one wireless (WiFi) N-speed Gaming Adapter.
There were 3 things in my cabinet (far away from my router) that required a wired connection:
- a HTPC: home theater personal computer
- a XBox 360: w/ an outboard, snap-on WiFi antenna that was acting 'funky' and dropping signal
- a (wonderful) WD-TV Live Plus: Western Digital WD TV Live Plus 1080p HD Media Player
I only had one tiny MadCatz wireless/WiFi N-speed Gaming Adapter w/ one Cat-5 outlet on it, but I'm sure you could prob use this one: TRENDnet Wireless N Gaming Adapter TEW-647GA (Black)
...and you generally can't use a Cat-5 splitter to share internet signals.
I used this switch in the signal from the wireless gaming adapter into the input port, w/ the HTPC, XBox, and WD-TV Live Plus on ports 1, 2, and 3 respectively.
With this switch, your signal strength seems to be only limited by the speed of your gaming adapter.

Does Its Job Well . I bought this to expand the number of ethernet connections available in my dorm room. Once powered and linked up, the network access was just the same as if I had plugged straight into the wall. Hasn't caused a single problem.
Dynex Switch . Works as advertised. Switches network signals effectively and is not too expensive to boot. Not much more to say on the matter.
Five Port Ethernet Switch . It is small and silent. It worked great right out of the box. In service a month now and still working. Not bad for a really inexpensive 5 port switch.Dynex DX-ESW5 - Switch - 5 x 10/100 - desktop
so far worth the money . Just got it today and have been using for only a few hours. It doesn't seem to be slowing my internet feed down at all. I only have 1.4 mb service, and it is splitting service between 2 computers perfectly. 1 is downloading youtube vids, and the other, tick data for futures trading. I wish vendor would send item in a box, instead of a padded envelope, but it did make it here ok. It does what it's supposed to, and is compatible with my xp and windows 7 computers. a good buy.
Awesome deal! . This thing is dirt cheap and HIGHLY FUNCTIONAL. I've no problems with it what-so-ever. I don't usually purchase off-brand electronics but this thing was in my price range. I would suggest this to anyone.
can do a lot for its small size . i have been having this for about a year, constant use everyday, and its never given me a single problem. my main computer, wireless roughter, and xbox360 are all connected to this and are pretty much used everyday. produces little to no heat at all. its perfect for small lan partied or home networking
