Far away . I use 70ft ~ 30meters from the router and the signal is strong, even with 2 walls in between

Nice Adapter . This adapter works great. I use it in Linux. I also have it installed in a Windows machine. No problems at all.

Cons Review

Very difficult to install on a linux box. . The adapter came with an installation cd, but the Realtek program for installing the driver and managing the wireless does not properly install on Wine. It does not run when executed. There are no individual driver files or directions for placing them in a specific folder.

In other words, if you run linux, don't buy this.
