The Model 4506 allows shared use of a mobile broadband Internet service from most cellular service providers. A 3G USB modem is plugged into the router and the broadband conection is then shared through either Wireless 802.11n/g/b, or a 10/100 Ethernet connnection. The router is powered by either its rechargeable Lithium-ion battery or its AC power cube.

Good product made by an American company . I use this device with a Verizon USB modem. It works great in many US cities. The product worked as stated immediately after plugging in the USB modem. The battery life is sufficient @ around 3 to 4 hours depending on amount of data streaming. It is a great companion to my wifi Ipad. There have been instances where speed was slow but I was able to confirm that it was due to the Verizon network range inside some office buildings.

Cons Review
Sounds like a great idea... . I really wish this item worked as promised as I think it would be very useful. I purchased the router and tried it with an iCON 322 USB modem using the AT&T 3G service in Florida. It did not work (the IP address and gateway were the same). Then I called tech support, who walked me through many steps trying to get it fixed. After an hour, the tech said to return the device and get a replacement. I did this, plugged in the new router, and it still did not work (same issue). So even though Zoom says this device is compatible with AT&T's 3G service and with my modem, it does not work in Florida.
