Phenomenal on a Mac! . History has shown that we Mac owners tend to get left out in the rain when it comes to product compatibility. Naturally, I was initially skeptical when I placed my order for this little dongle. Faced with a MacBook Pro Unibody hosting a fried WiFi card and a $100 repair bill (not including labor), I was looking for every, and any, solution available. Call me surprised.
The dongle itself is cast in a slightly cheap-ish white plastic housing with a built-in green LED status light. It looks robust enough to take some good whacks, but probably not a direct drop (though I doubt any USB would). It extends about 7mm out from the side and is very secure. No wiggle and a firm fit in the port. The included mini install CD won't work in a slot-loaded drive, but their website was very user friendly and had downloads for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Once downloaded, the setup was very simple and had drivers for both PPC and Intel machines. The only caveat is that the Apple AirPort Utility is bypassed while their own Wireless Network Utility is used instead. Connection to my home's AirPort network was very fast and, dare I say it, quicker than the built-in WiFi, while actual throughput was identical. Range was also on-par with my prior 802.11N setup.
On the whole, I'd highly recommend this adapter to anyone looking at a steep laptop repair bill!

SANOXY 150Mbps Micro Nano Size Wireless N 802.11n/g WiFi WLAN USB 2.0 Network Adapter Dongle Reviews
Great . When I upgraded HP Dv6700z laptop to Windows 7, everything worked great except HP hasn't and won't be releasing a Windows 7 supported driver for my Broadcom Wireless Card. This unit installed automatically in 7 and works fantastic. Problem: Solved. Also, very compact.

Great performance on Linux! . Works great with my wife's notebook running Ubuntu Linux.
The only gotcha is that there aren't great (any) instructions for installing the driver on Linux. So, I wrote some below. Hope this helps...
HOWTO:
1) Pop in the CD that comes with the package
2) Navigate to the "Other driver/Linux Driver/" directory
3) Unzip the zipfile in that directory
4) Navigate into the unzipped directory, then into a directory called "driver/"
5) Untar the driver files: "tar -C /tmp -xvzf rtl8192CU*.tar.gz"
6) Build and install the driver: "cd /tmp/rtl8192CU* ; sudo make && sudo make install"
7) Plug in your new adapter and go!
Cheers!

This worked without a hitch. OS Linux Distro: Ubuntu | Flavor: Jolicloud . Plug and Play Capable for Linux Ubuntu
Plugged it in to my Laptop for the first time (which runs Joli OS, a flavor of Ubuntu Linux), I went to check Wireless Networks and this device (RealTek 802.0N) Was listed with another list of wireless devices just as my original wireless card. No Conflict, I disconnect the connection from my original wireless card, allowing this usb device to maintain wireless connection alone. This card was automatically listed as wlan1 while my original inboard card remains as wlan0.
Security: WPA
OS: [...] Joli OS 1.2 based on Linux Ubuntu's latest Kernel (at the time of this writing Sat Mar 19 2011).
Complications:
Took me a while to realize that my router had been denying the MAC address of the USB Adapter.

excellent . I received on time, hook it up in the usb port and every thing was ok. You just need to plug it in the usb port no need of other thing or download any extra driver. The product work excellent it perform the transmission and reception from 54 Mbps g to 150 Mbps n. More speed more reliable. I recomend it
Small and works with Windows 7 (not Ubuntu) . Solved the size issue I had with the previous adapter, but did not "plug and play" in Ubuntu. Worked find in Windows 7.
Cons Review
Can't hold a connection SLOOOOOW. . I live in a small house, my PC is in another room less than 40 feet from my router. I bought this adapter based on the reviews and it seemed to work pretty well at first. After the first week or two though, it's just been horrible. I keep the clunky required software open to keep an eye on things because the connection drops so often. Honestly, I will be surprised if I get through this review without losing the connection.
When it DOES stay connected, speeds are painfully slow. If I want to watch a 3 minute YouTube video, I need to pause the video immediately and wait a solid 5 minutes (without exaggeration) so that I'm able to watch it without frequent buffering.
It was cheap, so that was good, but I had a much better connection tethering my phone (using the same wireless router, not my phone's data connection).

A Realtek that is a Real Pain for Linux Users . I purchased this item to use it as a wifi adapter on a virtual box instance of Backtrack 5. I worked with if for hours. I could not find a Linux driver to work with it. However, it works quite well on Windows 7. It is fast and has pretty good range, which is why I still give it a couple of stars. If you want an adapter with good range, works with Linux or Windows 7 and is cheap, take a look at:802.11g/n USB WiFi Wireless Lan Adapter w/5dBi Antenna
usb plug doesn't fit into standard USB sockets . The USB connector on this item doesn't quite fit properly into USB sockets. I've tried on a computer and a USB extension cable. It can be made to fit, but requires a *lot* of force and creative wiggling to get it to fit. If it cost more, I'd have it replaced -- but it just isn't worth the trouble.
Very sloowwww!! . I have tried it on two laptops and the best download speed that I have got at speakeasy it was, 0.39mb/s!!!!
With a Linksys wusb600n I have got over 12mb/s.
This one is going back.
