Needed for Radio Automation . I use this in my radio stations for cues from external sources for BSI Simian automation software. This is a very good and inexpansive alternative to using the serial port to receive cues from an external device like a Satellite receiver.

Uses . I used one of these with a program to guarantee Airbag Control Unit boards are placed in the correct housing units. Proximity sensors close a circuit that changes a port from high value to low value, indicating the correct housing unit is on the jig. I also had an article published that decribes how to talk to the 1024-LS. Visual Basic Developer paid me $250 for the article. (Nice return on investment.)
