Does the same job as the original . Although this is a reproduction, it really does the same job. It perfectly fits into the tripod head and for that price the product is really good!

Quick Release Plate for the RC2 Rapid Connect Adapter (SET OF 2) for MANFROTTO 234RC . I was a little hesitant to buy these as they were not by the original manufacturer. But these work great just like the original. I only wish I had bought 2 pair instead of only one. Great deal.
