Fantastic wireless bridging at an unbeatable price . I use a pair of these to wirelessly bridge my home network to my brother's (he lives much too far away for "regular" WiFi to work). We get epic file transfer speeds, basically maxing out the 100Mbps network interface on the Nanostations. Specifically, we get transfer speeds of 11 megabytes per second using windows file sharing. It is just as though we had run a network cable through the air between our houses. Reliability is great too. The connection rarely drops, and if it does it is usually the result of someone unplugging a cord somewhere. Now, one thing I didn't mention is that in order to make a good wireless bridge you need perfect line-of-sight. Much like the sensors at the bottom of an automatic garage door, the entire space between the devices needs to be clear of physical obstructions in order for the system to work properly. Also, setting up a wireless bridge is not for the technologically challenged, but there are some decent tutorials out there if you look for them. One of the most important things to remember when setting up a wireless bridge is to use adequate encryption (like WPA2). Otherwise, unscrupulous people can listen in on your network traffic and possibly even hack into your network to access your internet connection and your files. Another thing to remember is that these are powerful little radios capable of communicating over several miles and you will most likely need to lower the output power on both ends to keep from interfering with everyone else's wireless communications. You also do not want to damage the receivers on your own radios. A good rule of thumb is to try to get the Signal to be 30 dBm higher than the Noise Floor during clear weather. For example, if I have a noise floor of -86 dBm, I want my signal to be around -56 dBm. This provides a clear signal and leaves some breathing room for when bad weather affects the signal.
