This review is from : 3-in-1 Palm Size Mini Portable 802.11 Wireless N/G WiFi Network Router/Adapter/Access Point
IPad and the Wired Network . I bought this to use with my IPad, which of course has no LAN port, because I sometimes work in offices that only have a wired network. When I connect to the LAN, power up, and turn on my IPad, this device name shows up in the network list and works fine. I have one concern which might not be an issue for a real IT person. I configured it at home for my secure wireless network, but when I use it at the office, there is no indication that the network is secure. In other words, I don't know whether it converts a secure, wired network to an open wireless network.
