Simple manual and it works good! . I don't know why Cyberguys doesn't have this in their hardcopy catalog? It should be because it is a good functional product.
Even though it doesn't look like the pictures, the push buttons are better than a rotary switch, in my opinion. It is much smaller than the larger rotary box pictured (4" wide and a little over 1-inch high), which is also a good thing. Internally, it is a simple mechanical switch - no electronics.
This is also good, because you have no compatibility issues between operating systems (i.e. Windows 98, XP, 7, Linux, etc.). I read what others have said about these electronic switches (much higher prices too) and they all seem to have compatibility issues. You can't have problems with this box because it is simply a switch soldered to a circuit board and a few USB connectors. Not even any internal wiring. Did I say no electronics?
The case is sheet metal, which is yet another good thing. The box does have a type B USB input/output, but the (marked) A and B plugs are standard A type USB female. If you have an old USB printer cable laying around, you can use it to connect to the box's I/O plug.
Simple, functional and perfect. What are these people complaining about? It's a good product all around. But I said that, didn't I.
Just push the button. What could be simpler. I bought two, and they both work good. Did I said that before?

2 Port Manual USB Switchbox Reviews
2 port manual USB switchbox . I have two printers at home. One is a laser printer, which is my workhorse printer. The other is a small HP color deskjet D1500 which I bring with me during my travels. When I am at home, I like to have both printers hooked up to my home computer because both computers complement each other. I use the color printer during occasional times when I want to print something in color. Here is where the manual switch box comes in handy. I went to a half dozen computer stores and called another half dozen to ask them if they carry a manual USB switchbox for printers. None of them do, saying that the gadget is outmoded in favor of networking printers. I don't think so. I am sure there are others who have the same need as I do. Anyway, I thank the person who sold me the switchbox, which solved my problem. It works perfectly and the price is not bad at all.

Cons Review
Check connections!! . The product I received was different from the picture. Instead of the dial-switch, it has two buttons. That's fine with me.
What's not fine: the plugs. This device needs 2 USB-A male plugs (for the PC's) and 1 USB-B male plug. If you want to hook up a printer to two PC's, you will need 2 USB-A male (that's what you plug in your USB port on you PC, but this cable needs that plug on BOTH sides) and one USB-B male (also on BOTH sides). These cables are very uncommon. I had to order conversion adapters (cheaper than 3 new cables). Check your cables before ordering!!
I cannnot comment on the product itself yet, because I'm waiting for the converters.

Not as shown in advertisement. . The advertisement shows a switchbox with a rotary switch. The one I received is push button. Not what I ordered or wanted.
It is workable, but I don't like it.
