Better than expected... update drivers however . wasn't sure what to expect when i bought this product. i just needed to get my wifi signal from one side of my house to another and this seemed like it was the product to do that.
i hooked it up, started to install the software on my Windows desktop computer and called support to walk me through it. To my amazement, their support department is located in California and they were very very helpful. they told me there was a software/driver update available and I downloaded it from their website.
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THEIR LATEST DRIVERS FOR WINDOWS. WORKS BEAUTIFULLY...
After they helped me install it, i was able to get 5 bars where i previously had NO BARS. amazing. i can also see an additional 20 networks i couldn't before. Great stuff but make sure you call support or go to their website to download the latest drivers for windows computers!

Definitely a must in a big home or spotty coverage in an office! . By far one of the better investment choices made. It was easy and quick to hook up and use. No problems at all, like stated by other reviewers, remember the driver, VERY IMPORTANT, or else you'll be stuck trying to figure out why things aren't connecting properly or being recognized. Reception is unbelievable now!

great range... over my expectations... . love this product. wanted to get more range to connect in my home which has a lot of walls and metal objects (horrible wifi enviornment) saw this online, found it on amazon, installed it in less than 5 minutes.
instant triple the range i had before. this thing comes with a really long usb cable which i use to put the adapter outdoors sometimes just to see how many networks i can find, and i find almost 20 new networks...
advertised for boats and rvs but i use it in a home and love it. can see why boaters would too... just wish i had a yacht to put it on :)
just make sure you download the latest windows drivers. i hit a snag during install but their US based support helped guide me to the latest drivers which made the thing work falwlessly

Great for RV Parks . Works well for weak WiFi signals in RV parks. I tried the non-powered antennas but this actually works. I needed tech support as I had just installed "Lion" on my MacBook Air and they called me back on a Saturday of Labor Day weekend with the answer. (The answer is that Lion uses the same driver as in Leopard 10.6) Thanks Michael Stover of their tech support.
So far... Very good! . I am using the UA600EX to extend my network from my house to my office (about 500 feet away) in another building... The router I am using is a Netgear WRND3700 (at my house)... I have tried using repeaters with limited success... After setting up the AU600EX on the outside of my office wall, I get a consistant five bars... The WRND3700 and the UA600EX have a clear shot of each other... There is only a small wooded area buffering the signal (about 100 feet). So far, I am very happy with results... Its August 2011... If something changes, I will report back.
Fantastic . I have been frustrated for years with 1 or 0 bar service in my outside office through a Linksys adapter, so I thought I'd give this a go even though a bit expensive. What a difference!These folks have it right. It's 5 bars and uninterrupted service. The installation was a breeze, but if you have another wireless adapter I suggest that you disable it first. Also, I was getting no signal at all, and the problem was that the USB connection inside the adapter had come loose. It's very easy for this to happen, so make sure that it's in there firmly and is tightened up per the instructions.Other than these minor startup issues, which were easy to solve with just a little thought, this adapter is all anyone could ever want. It has picked up 5 other nearby networks which I never knew existed (not that I would give them a try, of course)! I cannot recommend this adapter highly enough.Mac Carter

great product . In the IT industry, this product so far, has proven to be outstanding. At the home office, on my work laptop, I'm only able to visibly see 6 AP's. With this device installed, both desktop and laptop, I can see over 15-16 AP's. Not only it's proven to work solid on the desktop platform, I can take this device on business trips and plug it in to my laptop and utilize the full bandwidth of a hotel's wireless connection.

I don't know about you, but I do most of my work from home on the Internet. If I can't access Internet in a suitable workspace (not the room where I go to slumber), then I'm not getting work done - major problem.
I was done messing around - bring on the big guns, the rave reviews, and hence the Amped UA600EX. After downloading and installing the new driver, my computer Internet connection came alive again... and not just barely.
It soars in EVERY room, it's spectacular. Plus, to boot (no pun intended), it connects upon startup very quickly (of course, this can be changed through the settings, too), AND does not drop the connection all over the place. It is VERY stable/consistent.
"WHETHER I'm going to get Internet today" is no longer a daily concern or thought. It's just a given, when I start my computer, I'll be cruising online very smoothly and quickly, anywhere in my home.
Technically, the highest bitrate I had before this product was 11Mbps....MAYBE! And it would drop and rise, like the ocean tide... total aggravation.
After the UA600EX, almost always I have 48Mbps and, from time to time, 56Mbps. Almost never does the bit rate dip below this. If it does, I just right click over the "Internet connection" icon and "repair." It usually means a quick reset to clear the cache of the router.
Signal strength is mostly above 70% and link quality is mostly above 90%.
For the highest "amped" performance, both usb connectors need to be plugged in (therefore, taking up 2 usb slots). Otherwise, you can still run the adapter on the "primary" usb connector (using just one usb slot). I haven't tried just using the "primary"/single usb setting alone.
Then there's the really long usb cable - it's awesomely long... can extend from one room into another. If you want to move, you just gather up the slack cable and the adapter, take it with you in one hand, your laptop in the other, place down the adapter (it comes with a stand) in your new location, and just let the cable be. Also cool about this adapter is you can aim it to pinpoint/target maximum exposure.
Last, how I justified the cost of this product being so much more than the other adapters that got lots of stars and reviews.... It's a one-time cost which will pay for itself over a year, as well as saving rage, frustration, and time (I think that's worth it alone!:)).

best adapter I ever used . Getting 4-5 bars where I used to only get 2. The only problem I had was with the install but I just went to their website and download the new drivers and it works great after that.

worked then quit . was working well for a week or so and then just stopped. Can't be recoginzed any longer when plugged it. Returning for refund.
