doesn't work with the wii . i tried to use this on my wii and it would not work. it received connectivity and appeared to be working fine but would not catch an interet connection. upon troubleshooting nintendo says that it is likely because it isnt their brand part. wish i would have known that before purchasing it because its just as useful as a doorstop as it is with my wii.
as for the shipment and physical condition of the product, no complaints.

Works 90% great . No this product does not break or completely stop working after a few weeks or months(if the green light does not come on when you connect it to the console like it should you just initiate a connection like the wii browser and it will turn on). In fact it is a very durable product that is easy to install.You dont even need to install any software Just make sure you have an ethernet cable that can reach from your wii to your modem or router etc.With internet surfing it works perfectly. Keeping a consistantly fast connection. With online gaming it is faster than WIFI. i know this because in the online multiplayer game "monster hunter tri" im always the first to get past those "connecting screens". Only problem is sometimes ( not very common in my experience) it will drop out the connection for maybe a minute or two, however it reconnects quickly therafter.So the BOTTOM line is this is a very good product for its price. You might get a few minor inconveniences once or twice a month but it is very good.

Work Fine So Far . I have no problem with the item, I tested it yesterday and had no issue checking weather with no drops, connection took a few moments and BAM, connection via LAN. I have a Wireless Router set up in my home BUT usually hook my PS3 up via wired connection for more reliable connection, so I decided to do the same things with my Wii. Again, works fine, no comments on durability yet as I haven't had it long. If anything changes, I will come back and update. Something to note, you will probably have to buy another cord to connect you Wii via LAN, the one included is designed if you have your wireless router right next to the Wii.

very great . this is for the nintendo wii to hook up your wii to the internet and to use the wii shop channel ive had had mine almost a month and it works great im really happy for what i bought and it was cheaper than going out and buying it at the store
Cons Review
Doesn't work. How's that for a review. . This item arrived and failed to work. I tried it on multiple Wiis at three different houses, using Internet cables that definitely carried live signal. I wound up buying a cheap wireless router and plugging it into the living room router to send a signal the Wii could pick up. Don't buy this.
Only works half the time . My Wii LAN adapter only works half the time. Literally. And by literally, I mean the first time you try to connect, you'll get an error. The second time, it will succeed. If you have an operation that takes two separate connections to the Internet, the first time trying the first will fail, then it will succeed upon getting an error, then the second connection will fail -- and that second connect error may not give you an option to retry.
I don't necessarily blame the LAN adapter for this problem -- the Wii console only activates the adapter momentarily to do a connection. I wouldn't mind as much if the LAN adapter stayed active for a few minutes before turning off again, since that would be long enough to complete a few operations. Anyway, I've been very frustrated by this and don't recommend it. If there's another LAN adapter for the Wii, I'd try something other than the Rocketfish one.

Still Kickin' After A Year . Bought this used July 23 '10, and it's still working like a charm. Originally had it connected to a WNHDE111 wireless bridge, then a TEW-647GA, and currently a GWU627. To my delight, the Rocketfish has worked very well with each of these devices. I no longer game on my Wii but instead stream Netflix daily for a couple of hours. Initially, I would have constant disconnect problems every half hour or so, and I would have to leave the Netflix app to reconnect. Fixed this by logging into my router's web user interface and giving the Wii a static IP address. Also went into the Wii settings itself and set up static IP and DNS. Ever since then I've only had the occasional hiccup, but my router, repeater, or wireless bridge are just as suspect as the Rocketfish. In any case, I've streamed as much as three feature films back to back without interruption. Also, my Wii is updated to the latest firmware and my ISP is Optimum Online, and after a year I haven't encountered any compatibility issues or defects. Only bug I noticed is that after a while the Wii no longer sees the Rocketfish's MAC address, but Netflix still keeps on churning. I hardly ever handle the Rocketfish, so dunno how it'll handle drops and other accidents, but it has survived this long through two summers of heavy Netflix streaming in an un-airconditioned second floor bedroom. Very worth the price, especially used or refurbished. I stream a lot of action-oriented anime, and thanks to this adapter high speed action sequences no longer get blurry as if a camera was losing focus. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best ethernet adapter for the Wii solely based on its ultra low price. A friend of mine has the more expensive Nyko version which has plenty of excellent reviews here on Amazon. It's slightly smaller and of a sleeker glossy plastic, but honestly, it and the Rocketfish are on par with each other. If you want a Wii ethernet adapter, just go for the cheapest and the Rockefish is probably the most likely candidate.
works great but my internet sucks . The first few days i've had it i tried everything to get this to work and thought it was the part but after trying it on another ISP it worked perfect.
