3 years and going strong . I bought the SBG900 about 3 years ago to replace a Dell wireless router and comcast modem. It has been running smmothly so far. I have 1 computer attached via ethernet to it and 4 others wirelessly (1 XP, 2 vista and 1 Mac). the signal covers a 40 feet radius easily, through walls and into the attic. I also recently attached a vonage device to this setup and I have had no problems with call quality. I am pleased with the product. My only wish was that it had more ethernet sockets as I am now dependent on the wireless capability to the limit.

Motorola Surfboard SBG900 Modem Cable Modem Gateway 802.11B/G Reviews
Love it.. . I needed it for basic internet use. Comcast-compatible gateways does not include this model numbers but it works anyway. Comcast recommends the newer version which is more expensive even though this one works perfectly. You can easily set up the password and security yourself instead of paying your internet provider tons of money! I have used the same model for over a year and just bought another one for another apartment, so far, I have had no problems!

Works ok . This works ok but the signal constatly goes up and down. The cable system we have is terrible (Charter) so this could be part of the problem, but this is showing a slow signal in the tray.

Cons Review
Products for the same price are most likely better. . I got it with a rebate for ordering Roadrunner Highspeed. It has only one ethernet port, so all other computers on your network must have wireless adapters. The signal strength for the average home is ok. I get usually 3 to 4 bars going through 2 walls (one being the kitchen with cabinets and a fridge). I have a major problem with configuring port forwarding on this router. It's near to impossible. Following instructions I can still never get it to work when I'm using Battle.net or uTorrent. Not sure if it's the internet service itself, but it could also be the router responsible for (not very often) my cable connection not responding. Resetting the router fixes it every time, but it's very annoying when it happens. If you can get another router/modem for the same price, I would recommend it.
