Perfect for a small home network with a few POE devices . This switch is a perfect little product for a lightly expanding home network with a few POE devices. Setup is extremely easy, and the switch is VERY configurable (better than some other Cisco products). Others have complained about the power brick, but really it's not that big, and given it has to generate much higher DC than most other products (b/c that's how POE works folks), it's completely understandable. I don't have a negative on the product at this point, all I can say is - do your math, there is a current limit (in total), if you have 2 class 3 devices, that may be all you can drive with this switch, if you have up to 4 class 2 or less, they'll all work; if you do a little prep work and this product fits your needs, it's extremely nice and highly functional. Final note - the network performance is top notch also.

A) SERIOUSLY FAST! FAST! FAST!
B) 8 GIGABIT PORTS!
C) HAS A POWER "SYSTEM" LIGHT TO INDICATE READYNESS.
D) HUGE RESET BUTTON!
E) 4 POWER-OVER-ETHERNET (POE) PORTS!
F) THE ABILITY TO COMBINE 2 PORTS (LAG) AS ONE FOR GREATER THROUGH-PUT TO ANOTHER ROUTER, DEVICE, OR SWITCH.
G) MANY WEB-INTERFACE MANAGEMENT FEATURES.
H) POSITIVE-LOCKING POWER CONNECTOR.
Now for the very bad:
A) NEEDS A BUILT-IN POWER SUPPLY!
B) THE POWER BRICK IS A BRICK!
C) THE OUTPUT WIRE FROM THE POWER BRICK IS THE THINNIST AND FLIMSIEST I HAVE EVER SEEN! I'M AFRAID IT WILL BREAK FROM IT'S OWN WEIGHT. NOT JOKING.
D) THE BULKY POWER CONNECTOR AND RESET BUTTON ARE INCONVIENTLY PLACED ON THE RIGHT SIDE INSTEAD OF THE BACK! (WHY?)
E) IT SEEMS SMALL BUT BECAUSE OF BOTH THE BULKY POWER JACK AND RESET BUTTON ON THE RIGHT SIDE, PLACEMENT IS RATHER AKWARD.
