Perfect size but not without limitations . This little 4 port USB hub is awesome. For it's size, it actually accomidates nearly any USB plug or device quite nicely (though there is the rare occasion where a device is simply too big to fit next to another plug or device on the same side of the hub). However, I have had several problems with the hub due to power limitations. The hub comes with a Y-style USB cable with two standard USB male connectors; one is the main/data plug (black plug) while the other is the additional power plug (red plug) for when devices draw more power than the hub can supply. In every case I've tried, the red plug has been of no use. I have two external hard drives that refuse to work at all and a portable scanner that delivers poor scans when plugged into it. This is when no other devices are plugged into the hub and the red plug is in use. Everything else works great, and even though I only give it 3 stars (for its limited utility) overall I really love it and recommend it to anyone who needs more USB ports on-the-go.
Targus ACH63US Super Mini USB 2.0 4-Port Hub Reviews
Pefect for a Traveller . Recently I have purchased this USB hub from Amazon.com. When I have looked at product image on Amazon.com, I thought it is a bulky one but I don't have any other option except to rely on the product name which says "Super Mini". After I have recieved the shipment, I am astonished to see this piece of equipment. It so small infact its perfectly "Super Mini". This is a perfect gadget for a traveller with notebook having less number of USB ports. By the Way, one more additional feature is that it can handle high power USB devices like Digital Cameras etc, without having to power them seperately.

Small and powerful USB port hub extender for all of your portable devices . I received this as a gift for Christmas and finally opened the packaging and started using it.

GREAT product, I have my Blackberry, Samsung P2 (music and video player) and Jawbone charging from this USB device which is the size of a postage stamp. The Y cable allows you to either plug in one or two cables as needed (Y - one cable for power and data and an additional cable for additional power). I plugged this in with 1 Y cable but needed the second cable in order to power the Blackberry (it charges fast so it must need more power).

Have used other Targus USB hubs but they do not work as well --- they are much larger and sometimes do not work as there is not sufficient power --- requiring an electrical plug to make it all work. So, all if all this was a GREAT Christmas present and it will be a permanent fixture in my bag for travel, I can charge multiple devices with just USB cords and NO additional chargers to take on the road other than the one that goes with my laptop.
Great for court reporters! . I use this for my job. I have had wonderful results and NO hiccups or freezing, so it 'is' fast enough and goodness knows we need it! :)

=) good and small . wow - this thing is really good. Works great, spipment was quick!
I like it. It's small and nice. For 7 bucks it's a relly good thing
Agreed: Limitations are there...temperamental? . Not sure what to make of this hub: all of the cosmetic and geometric factors on this hub make me think, this is a no-brainer for anyone with a notebook and needs multiple hard-connections via USB. And it works...usually. Example: I used it for some significant time printing to an OfficeJet last night: more than 5 hours of on-again, off-again printing. Nothing sustained for a long time, and all of the documents were simple text docs in Word. Then, this AM: nothing would go through. Restarted notebook: same thing. Nothing was different from the night before. Restarted again: same result-nothing. Connected the printer straight into the notebook: and away we went...the other connected devices were a fan and a BlackBerry (sometimes), but when I was printing the night before: it wasn't an issue.

So, heads-up: the hub makes "sense", but when it doesn't work, it won't make sense...
Quietly does its thing! . Works just fine, does not need a power supply, and it is very small and petite.

Cons Review
Failed after just one week of use - worked well otherwise . While it worked, I was pleased. It actually requires two slots for using powered USB components, such as an iPod, fan, or multi-picture card reader. Very compact design and works automatically with both Mac OS or XP Pro.

Unfortunately, it failed after just one week. The failure was related to data transfer. The connected devices were receiving power, but they could not communicate with my laptop. Rebooting did not solve the problem. When I connected the USB devices directly, they worked fine. It looks like the data transfer chip failed or the connector for data failed. Either way, failure after just one week of use is not good.
Nice while it lasted. . This unit is very small, compact, and is advertised as a 2.0 speed 4 port hub. Unfortunately, the build quality is very poor. First one I bought brand new, lasted a month; Second one that replaced it was also brand new, and it worked for about six months; now, it has stopped working at 2.0 speeds, and will only work at 1.1 speeds. Plus, 1 of 4 of the ports, has now also failed. Would I ever buy this again, not a chance.
Just doesen't work . Seems everything I plug into this hub does not have enough power to operate or charge, even my ipod Nano. I've tried with both the red and black plugs connected and just the black. Seems to be well made, but unfortunately useless to me. Maybe it would work better if they didn't include the useless "light up" feature? Who needs a hub to draw power for a light!
