Good lowcost 802.11n router . I have the same 4402 setup up as a (WDS)repeater. It works great with my X6 router. I looked up Zoom FAQ and got the detail instruction how to setup the WDS (repeater). It is straight forward instruction. No time I got it up and running. I setup the device at building one with the X6 and building two with the 4402(WDS)(Repeater). That more than 50ft of distance. It works perfectly fine. Reset the device back to factory default setting and give it another try. If that don't work, you might have a faulty unit and return for RMA.

Cons Review
Zoom 4402 not worth it . Bought one of these and returned it the next day after it was received. The wireless portion of this router is extremely weak. With the laptop placed right next to this router, the signal strength the laptop displayed was around 50% at best. When the laptop was moved only a few feet further away, the laptop did not pick up a signal at all from it.
To use as a WIRED router, it's worth the money, but for wireless - you're better off looking at other brands.

Buyer Beware . I am writing this review because I have found many of the other Amazon customer reviews so helpful to me in the past. I cannot recommend this product to anyone who is not extremely knowledgeable in setting up wifi networks. After working with Zoom Technical Support for about a week, I finally got the 4402 hooked up as a repeater to my existing wifi system consisting of a Zoom X6 and Ap+2 for a few hours. Then I found out the 4402 has a very limited range of less then twenty feet so it was useless in extending my wifi network. Later, the 4402 reconfigured itself overnight and it no longer recognizes the wifi network. The instructions that came with the 4402 are not adequate and can be very confusing for the average person. The only compliment that I can give is to Desmond of Zoom Technical suport who did a great job of trying to help me get the 4402 in an operational mode. Now, my 4402 is being used as a paperweight. Avoid buying this product unless you have have plenty of time and expertise.
