A little work required but definitely worth it... . I bought this since I have an HP Elitebook 8530w in a docking station setup with 2 HP LP2065 and 1 HP 2509m monitors, but as you know the laptop only supports 2 monitors so I was bummed because having a 3 monitor setup at work ROCKS!!! So I investigated some solutions and I was really nervous about using a USB solution, since my colleague has a USB Video Adapter which stutters and is not exactly SMOOTH, but I also reasoned that it is a USB-VGA (Digital-Analog) adapter while this is USB-HDMI (Digital-Digital). I am VERY PLEASED to announce that this little beauty works as advertised and I have not seen any sort of pixelization, jitter, or motion problems since I got it working, but I will mention that it does take some work to get it running so what to watch out for:
1) Make sure you download the latest drivers from Display Link - [..]
2) Make sure your video card has WDDM drivers available because Windows 7 initially did not recognize the device and I have an NVidia Quadro FX 770M chipset.
3) Even though video adapter box has an insert for a 5v Adapter, none is included because it draws power from the USB connection so nothing is actually missing.
So basically I downloaded the latest drivers from Display Link and Nvidia and BAM - Everything worked and now I have 3 monitors set up and it is SMOOTH!!! I had Windows 7 Drivers for my video chipset but I have not updated in like a year, so I am guessing that my WDDM drivers were outdated because as soon as I downloaded the new one, no problems. So just follow the steps because there are NO INSTRUCTIONS included. Kind of whack but if you are buying this then it is because you consider yourself an "IT Guy" so buck up and tackle the problem... :)

Cons Review
Performance is terrible . Diamond claim on their website that this device will "Play DVDs or stream internet content such as Netflix?, YouTube?, Hulu? and more on an HDTV". This is a dramatic overstatement of its actual capabilities. I am running it on a 2010 Macbook Pro on OSX 10.6.8 and videos drop a *lot* of frames, and performance is generally poor. For reference I am using it to drive a 46 inch monitor, so am running at 1920x1080.
I will keep it since it's good to be able to look at my photos on the TV rather than my puny monitor, but it falls a long way short of the promise that originally motivated me to buy it.
In fairness to them, after downloading the DisplayLink software it was easy to setup, but the performance just isn't what you'd expect with that kind of pitch.
Sincerely hope that this is just a driver problem, but not optimistic at this point.

Playing a DVD does not work . Once the BizView is turned on their is no possibility to watch any DVD on my PC or remote 1080p hdmi display. BIG disappointment.
