MIMO technology for Ralink 2 Transmit antenna 3 Receive antenna solution

Multiple BSSID and WMM, WMM-PS support
* The IEEE 802.11n Draft prohibits using High Throughput with WEP or TKIP as the unicast cipher. If you use these encryption methods (e.g. WEP, WPA-TKIP), you will experience the data rate will drop to 54 Mbps. Rosewill recommend setting your router's wireless encryption as WPA-AES or WPA2-AES or update the latest firmware, in order to keep your wireless transfer rate at N speed.

Finally . I finally found a PCI networking card that just. works. I'm on the 2nd floor of a house with the router in the basement, so it's safe to say I needed a card with good range. I got it- 5 bars, full strength. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit Operating system. That said, let me get down to business. Before I bought this card, I had been using a Linksys card (wmp54G to be exact). I had a hell of a time trying to get the drivers for it, because Linksys apparently doesn't recognize that there's a new Windows out there (seriously, Vista 64 was the closest support I could find). I went chasing all over the internet on my 10 year old USB dongle for drivers, and finally found something that kiiiinda worked well enough, so I closed the book on the project and declared a half-victory. After a few months, the card started to really sputter. It would drop my connection every so often and fail all over the place. Since buying this Rosewill RNX-N300X, my reception improved, and the drivers I needed were on the enclosed CD. Some people claim the card works straight from the Windows driver-finder deally, but it took me all of 3 minutes to get it running from the disc. So in closing- WMP54G by Linksys: awful. RNX-N300X by Rosewill: Gravy.
Works fine . This card works fine and seems reliable but I have not used it long. The product transfers data at decent speeds as well.

Perfect . Using this card under Windows 7 64-bit. No issues, great signal strength. I'm using a 3rd-party antenna and it works extremely well (AP is across the house).
WL ADPT ROSEWILL RNX-N300X PCI RETAIL Opinions
Great wireless card. . I am always skeptical when buying wireless cards that claim to work with windows 7 or have software. This card met both of those criteria but I wasn't about to dish out $100 just for a wireless card and I wasn't going to buy a cheap one either. This card was the perfect price for me. I would say, compared to my previous Ethernet connection, that this card performs equally as fast as a direct connection to the router. The software is amazing and the setup is easy. After I got it up and running, I was able to see about 15 of my neighbors' wireless networks! Other single antenna cards I have used have hardly detected MY home network! My only problem was with the backplate of the card. It was about two millimeters too close to the card, which made it hard to install but I got it in after some pushing and shoving!

Overall, I would say that this the best wireless card for it's price. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Rosewill has become my go-to company for wireless cards now!
works great . Works great, have had no issues configuring and using in windows 7 with my n router. Haven't speed tested or tested with linux yet, but I get good connectivity and signal strength.

Cons Review
Spend a little more . I bought this card as a replacement for a USB 802.11G dongle that had low connectivity in the back part of my house. I knew I could do better as I could have my laptop in the same room with over 10x faster results on speedtest.net

Installing the card was a breeze... sort of... Windows 7 64-bit recognized the card and required no additional driver installation. Unfortunately connectivity issues led me to the chipset manufacturers site (which is very up to date by the way) to install an updated driver. For any wanting to try the same, the chipset is a Ralink RT2860. Download updated drivers directly from the manufacturer.

As I said before, the connectivity was less than great, actually it was less than even good. My USB dongle had better range and connection speeds than the internal card did! I had much faster connections on not only my USB dongle, but also my laptops built in 802.11g connection as well as my Ipads. I played with the antennas for a long time and was not able to get any faster connectivity.

This may be a great wireless card at closer distances, I cannot comment on anything other than where I have it (about 4 rooms away from the modem). However, for my use, it is entirely unadequate.
