USB 2.0 802.11N 300M Wireless LAN Network Adapter, with Internal Antenna

USB 2.0 802.11N 300M Wireless LAN Network Adapter with Internal Antenna . This was very cheap and was nervous if it would work with the MediaLink router that I also recently purchased. I have to say it works flawlessly. Installation was easy also. Speed is extremely fast and gets great signal (which is not surprising since in same room). Shipping took about a week but was packaged well. Using for a month and very satisfied.

USB 2.0 802.11N 300M Wireless LAN Network Adapter, with Internal Antenna Reviews
Great performance cheap price . I bought this adapter as an experiment because the D-Link DWA-130 that I was using was so unreliable.
It would lose the connection to the wireless router (also D-Link) and require a computer reboot to
reestablish.
I decided to try a different wireless adapter after all attempts to get the D-Link to work had failed.
I figured for the price, even if it worked no better I would be out very little. From the start this
new wireless adapter was a breeze!!
First of all, Windows 7 found it and installed drivers without having to use the included software. I
always see this as a plus because I hate having to clutter up the system with unnecessary software installation.
Then, it found and connected to my wireless network instantly. The signal level is VERY high and the
speed has definitly increased over the D-Link adapter. I checked this out using Wowway's speed test page
and there is about a 20% improvement.
Lastly, this little gem has not lost contact with my router even once! Even when the computer hibernates the
reconnection is instantaneous. This fact alone makes it worth the far more than the price I had to pay.
I have already recommended this device to friends and they are also pleased with it.
This is just a great buy!! Well worth the price tag and a lot more.

USB 2.0 802.11N 300M Wireless LAN Network Adapter, with Internal Antenna Opinions
Great For The Price . 300Mbps is pushing it. Even with the Drive 15' away from the N router, 200 was the best it could muster. I'm OK with that, I don't have an N router, I was just testing it. Now for my actual application, living in an apartment world, getting internet from my neighbor, so the signal has to go through the wet wall, metal pipes full of water galore, using a B/G router, Drive is maxed at 54Mbps, So it is doing its job, and holding a real strong signal, I am amazed and delighted.
The price is right, so no more Linksys or Netgear for this cat. I will not pay close to $50 for USB Wi-Fi Drives that crap out after 3 months ever again. Not when these are available.......

My flash stick . I am very pleased with this item. This is a replacement for one that was damaged. I have two of the skan disk and will only buy them.
Works as Expected Good Value . I have had this for 2 days.
It works as expected.
Set up was easy.
Good value for the price. My Hardware:
Computer: Dell Studio - Intel Quad Core 8200
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit
Wireless Router: Verizon Fios Broadcom Router 802.11g Installation:
Plugged in the Adapter into the USB Port
Inserted the mini CD Rom into the CD/DVD Drive.
Installed the software.
Entered my network password.
It connected to the Network at 54MBps.This adapter works just as good as the more expensive Belkin wireless USB adapter we have in our other computer.
I have not tried the AP mode or any other features.
I would recommend this to others.

Good wireless adapter . It's a usb wireless adapter that works, plan and simple. One important function that I do like is switching the device to AP mode, that's access point mode. the AP mode comes in handy at my work place, where my desktop is connected to the internet via a cat5 cable and switching the device to AP mode allows me wireless access to the internet for my laptop. And it's by Realtek drivers are very easy to find on the website and it just works.
Works as advertised . Item arrived early. Installed into a Win 7 Ultimate desktop and no issues at all. Connects everytime with excellent signal strength. Installed the software which also works fine in Win 7. Good price.
Cons Review
Bum wireless . Found it to actually be a 56Mbps device (wireless "B") fraudulently packaged as a 300Mbps Wireless "N" device. I found a spot in my wireless network (which supports B,G and N) for it where speed is not critical. For everyone else, I urge you not to purchase one. There are plenty of other Wireless USB adapters out there in this price range which are legitimate.
Don't waste your money. . Having recently replaced an old, malfunctioning router with one that supports 802.11n, I purchased two of these adapters, one for my laptop and one for my desktop. I found two major problems with them.
First, the USB connector is shorter that those found on flash drives or the USB stick for my wireless mouse. It is too short to connect directly to either machine, though it will connect if run through a USB hub or extension cable. This design flaw negates the portability of using a USB stick with a laptop. If I had wanted an adapter with an attached cable, I would have purchased one.
Second, the advertised bandwidth simply is not there. The best I was able to achieve is 72 Mbps. This was with the adapter a few inches from the router. A few feet from the router, the connection speed drops to 58 Mbps. At those ranges, I could just use a 100 Mbps wired connection. Upstairs, where I typically use my laptop, it drops again, to 43 Mbps. This is less than the 54 Mbps I consistently reach with the internal 802.11g adapter.
In short, I returned both adapters, and am looking at purchasing an 802.11n internal adapter instead.
