Works great. . I broke the ethernet port on my HP lap top. I bought this ethernet cable adapter so that I can connect to the internet using a USB port instead. It works great. I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm running Windows 7.

Nice and Easy!!! . It doesn't get any simpler. My ethernet port was bad, bought this and under 60 seconds, I'm back up and running. Insert CD, plug in USB, and surf away. Nice!!!

Annother great product from TRENDnet . I bought this because I was restoring an old 1998 computer and wanted to have a hard wired internet connection. As I have come to expect from TRENDnet, the installation was the easiest I have ever seen, and I got it working wonderfully in less than 5 minutes (which is much better than I can say for most other products like this). The only complaint I have is that you almost had to rip the box apart to get it open, because one of the tabs were really secure, but if you have a knife or pair of scissors, you can easily pry it open without too badly ruining the box.
EDIT: The product page doesn't seem to mention this (and I also haven't tried this yet, but I will!), but the box says that it is Nintendo Wii Ready, so you can have solid connection to the internet for your Wii! Nice little surprise, I think.

perfect solution . My computer was new in 2004, and I just now made the leap from dial-up to DSL internet. Unfortunately, my ethernet port was not functioning. I purchased this adapter and within 20 minutes I was connected with no problems. I would recommend this item for anyone who needs to redirect the DSL ethernet cable through a USB port.
Exactly What I Was Looking For . My ethernet port is shot on my Tivo for some reason so I had to use the USB ports. I needed an adaptor to go from USB back to ethernet to link into my modem and found that NO ONE sold these (not Best Buy, Radio Shack, etc.) - this is exactly what I needed and there is no loss of speed/quality with the adaptor.
Performed as promised . Outstanding product - all components (software, hardware) - performed as advertized with installation, setup, and recognition, via Windows XP and Vista completed without a fault. I would recommend this product to anyone needing an Eth. Adapter.

Cons Review
Not satisfied . I purchased this item for my computer whose malfunctioning ethernet port is part of the CPU and cannot be replaced. I thought this adapter would solve the problem but whenever I plug it in, the computer freezes and sometimes give you the blue screen of death. My computer is pretty decent and has very nice specs. It is not from my computer it is from the adapter. I purchased a used ethernet card later and I installed it in and it works just perfect.
