24 x 10/100Base-TX LAN - 2 x SFP - Ethernet Switch
This review is from : Netgear FS726TP ProSafe 24 Port 10/100 Smart Switch with 2 Gigabit Ports and 12 Port POE
Solid product and a good value. . The unit is solidly built(steel enclosure), and works flawlessly like all my other Netgear switches. It's perfect for applications that need PoE to power Wireless access points, or for my purpose of powering and connecting a bunch of IP security cameras. A nice surprise was the price for this unit as it's much less than other PoE switches I looked into. In addition, having the two Gigabit connections were perfect for connecting it into my Gigabit backbone, and continuing the chain. I've yet to enable and configure CoS or other advanced features, but the UI seems straightforward. I'm not an IP expert, so this switch was a nice option rather than going to a managed switch. My only complaint with the unit is the fan is louder than I expected, noticeable loud in a room with a couple computers also running. All my other switches have been fanless, so I'm spoiled. In the end, I'd purchase another one. In fact I probably will real soon.

Netgear FS726TP ProSafe 24 Port 10/100 Smart Switch with 2 Gigabit Ports and 12 Port POE Reviews
What a deal! . I purchased two for our new Voice over IP phone system and I works great! Took it straight out of the box, plugged it in and it's been working like a charm. No configuration, just plug and play. Please keep in mind that only 12 of the 24 ports are POE ports. We saved $2,000 by purchasing this product over a simular Nortel switch.

Netgear FS726TP ProSafe 24 Port 10/100 Smart Switch with 2 Gigabit Ports and 12 Port POE Opinions
get's the job done! . Excellent product. Just a simple plug and play. Quickly found our POE devices (cameras) and instantly provided the correct power. We were very concerned that there would be enough power for each camera and there was. The power requirement was Class 3 which means it had to provide 15 watts of available power per each POE port. (We were advised that this is very important.) It was hard to find a POE switch that provided the correct amount of wattage budget we required. Most manufactures are a little bit secretive about revealing the total watt output for the POE ports. The Netgear switch was placed in a position after a DHCP router. And it handles our IP cameras great using just a Cat5. Also, manages the non-POE devices easily and interfaces with our larger ethernet switch. Some reviews said it was a bit noisy, but this is not obvious in our home run room. We have not used the gigabit ports.
We think the unit is worth the extra expense.

Great switch on a budget price. . This switch is simple to setup and has features that you would pay considerable more for. I have nothing negative to say...small form for a large package.
Gets the job done. . I use this for a CCTV setup. The POE works perfectly and provides just enough ports for home surveillance.
Simple yet powerful . This piece of equipment is not only a reliable 24 port switch, it is almost a router. It provides QOS, DHCP, and many other functions routers provide. In addition, it gives you 12 ports of POE, which is probably as many as you would use in most applications. The management interface is very powerful, yet simple. For the price, nothing in the market touches it. Great job NetGear! I use mine for seven PCs and 12 VoIP phones with no problems. Highly recommended.
Quietier cheaper than $600 Cisco switch . Our $600 CISCO switch went down with a power strike. This machine cannot feed 24 POE devices. However, we only have 10 and they all use less than 5 mA. We use about twenty ports in total. While we don't have the controls that were available on the CISCO switch, it seems to be working better. We have never run this smoothly. Also, the Netgear is much quietier and smaller.
Totally Impressed! . I needed to deploy 9 VoIP phones and 3 Wireless Access Points in our new church installation and this switch was the key. The VLANs let me set up separate security domains (for public Wifi), POE kept me from having to run separate power to all the devices.
It was easy to setup (I have a strong networking background but you shouldn't need it), and has worked perfectly.
Considering it was a fraction of the cost of any other devices that would do the same, I would definitely chose this again!
FYI, the VoIP phones were: Cisco SPA942 4-line IP Phone with 2-port Switch and the Wifi Access Points were: TRENDnet 54Mbps Wireless G PoE Access Point TEW-434APB (Blue)

Green is only the Begining . This switch is ideal for SOHO where POE is required and cost concerns are focussed on energy. I have six IP Phones running on the POE ports, and one WiFi access point. Regular network devices consume 11 more ports. The total AC draw is reading 54w on my UPS! This is quality equipment at a reasonable value.
Perfect for a small office with PoE devices . I am by no means an expert with switches, and I was so confused when comparing products where some cost thousands more than others. Based upon the recommendation of a co-worker, I eventually chose this one, and it has worked perfectly. I have it behind the main gateway, and use it for all our PoE units in the office. It has some nice QoS management, but I haven't needed to use it yet. 12 of the ports are PoE, 12 are not, and there are 2 gigabit ports if you require some high-speed links between devices. For a small office, this is the only switch you will ever need. Very happy with this product.
