2nd time around was a winner! . First time I ever had a problem with Amazon. The first unit I received the stand was broken, Cat 5 cable end was broken, unit was DOA in other words the only thing that worked in the box was the power supply, verified by volt ohm. I must say Amazon worked hard to make it right. I contacted them via email at about 6:00 PM Eastern they responded almost immediately, shipping a replacement overnight with Saturday delivery no less.
Replacement unit fired right up. I did a factory reset then followed the instructions on the netgear web site with no problems. It has been running stable for over 24 hours. I will update this rating if I have any future problems.
The bottom line, it is a used piece of equipment and evidently Amazon doesn't do much, if anything, to verify serviceability prior to shipment. But you can, with a little patience, get a good deal on an access point.
