Simple basic does the job it was meant for . Assuming you've got an available USB port on your PC, and are running a USB-compatible version of Windows (Win98SE or higher, or Windows 2000/XP), this product does exactly what you'd expect it to. Simple to use - just plug your PS/2-style mouse and/or keyboard into the unit, then plug the unit into an available USB jack on your PC, and Windows will autodetect the devices. This is an excellent device to use if you want to attach two PS/2 style keyboard/mouse combos to the same PC - for example, if you've got both an adult and a child-size keyboard you want to run on the same PC, and both keyboards have PS/2 jacks.Device also works great if you want to attach a PS/2 style keyboard or mouse to a laptop which has only USB ports.
Belkin F5U119-E PS/2 to USB Adapter Reviews
Works fine on Mac and PC . This is a very useful device. It's highly compatible, and it works fine on both my Macintosh laptop (MacBook Pro) and my desktop PC running Windows XP. It does what it says it will do. The only minor complaint I have is that the mouse movement is not quite as smooth when using this device (both Mac OS X and Windows XP).

Other than that, it's great!
Belkin F5U119-E PS/2 to USB Adapter Opinions
Does work on Mac OS X 10.4.9 iBook . Very good product. I purchased this adapter to connect a PS/2 connector barcode scanner to my PowerPC iBook running Mac OS X 10.4.9. When I first connected the adapter to the USB port on the iBook (after connecting the barcode scanner to the adapter), OS X discovered the keyboard connection and prompted me to go through a wizard for the computer to determine the keyboard type. If you do this, make sure to connect the keyboard to the adapter BEFORE plugging the adapter into the computer, so that it can make the appropriate device determinations. In order for the wizard to determine the "keyboard" type (ANSI), it prompted to hit the key to the right of the left shift key, and the key to the left of the right shift key (Z and / for my iBook). To do this with the barcode scanner, I printed custom barcodes for the characters with a barcode font and scanned them. The scanner now works well just as if it were connected to a PS/2 port on a PC. I would definately reccomend this product. Although I haven't tested it on a PC yet, I would assume it works since the box description indicates it would, and it works with a Mac.
Keep using old peripherals with new PC . Bought this to use a PS2 bar-code scanner in Windows 7, works without issue. Used it on several machines and it worked fine. Also tried it with a keyboard and mouse fine.
Works great on our laptop . We have a brand new Sony Vaio running XP and this works great--haven't noticed any lag time in the mouse function (as was mentioned in a prior review) and it is very handy. A very decent product--I would recommend it.
Work with Mac mini . Using it with a Mac mini on a Linksys KVM 4-port switch. No problems.

Note: The PS2 dongles are marked for either keyboard or mouse.
Fantastic Service . I thought I'd have a hard finding this adapter but found one not to far from home. It was exactly what I wanted. It was packaged very well and I received it much faster than I expected. I would certainly buy from this vendor again. GREAT SERVICE!!!!!
Works like a charm . I have an older Microsoft ergonomic ps/2 keyboard, and my new Dell only has USB ports. I bought this Belkin adapter, and for ~$15, I not only didn't have to buy a new keyboard (which would have been annoying for both cost, and the fact that I really like this one), but all of the media functions (play, stop, et al) and hot keys (calculator, log off, et al) worked without the need for any drivers.

Cons Review
Failed . As soon as I plugged this into my WinXP SP2 computerS I get an "unknown device" error message.
Doesn't work with a Mac . I tried using this to connect my PS/2 keyboard and mouse to my iBook. No luck. The mac thought that I had keys held down when I didn't, which made the setup totally unusable. On the package, but not in this online description, it mentions that a Windows machine is required.
