Awesome Repeater - High Quality and Excellent Support . So i've searched around for many repeaters for my wi-Fi range extending problem and I came across those from Hawking, Linksys, among many others. I saw this one on an Engadget review and came to my favorite shopping location to purchase it (Amazon).... Received the unit very quickly and the first thing i noticed is that the box was heavier than i thought it was going to be (around 3 lbs or so). This was already a good sign since i was used to those cheap, lightweight plastic computer products. But this was not one of them. The Pro Repeater came with a 30 foot cable, a metal desktop stand (which I didn't need), another 3 foot patch cable, a power over ethernet adapter and power adapter. The unit itself is made with very good craftsmanship and also looks really slick. Now to the application..I have a backhouse thats about 500 feet from my front house which i have a linksys router. The backhouse gets 0 signal. I purchased the SR600EX and set it up in my backhouse. Attached the power adapter to the wall and connected the PoE adapter to it (Amped includes very helpful tags so only a dummy would connect it wrong). Anyways i placed the repeater on the outside wall of the backhouse and then did a scan w/ my computer. There was my linksys network!! I now have full bars in the backbouuse and whats best is the PoE adapter also has an extra RJ-45 port where i've connected by wired bluray player with Netflix! I have my IPad which i can use freely throughout the 1000 sq ft backhouse as well as in my yard beyond the backhouse.I called Amped's service department also to see how i could get my speed faster and the very friendly rep recommended pairing it up with the AP600EX (which i installed in the front house and pointed it towards the backhouse). The agent told me that this setup was good for 2 miles+ and that its always good to have HIGH POWER UNITS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CONNECTION (he really stressed this point) but all i needed it for was 500 ft or so. Either way, i'm ecstatic, my wife is happy and the kids are also! I highly recommend Amped based on their product performance and customer service! Thanks Amped!

OK . They should not sell this product without the matching router,, It just wont do what they say it will,, also had a hard time connecting to it, instructions need to be updated,

Great Repeater for getting connected outdoors . I needed to get wifi throughout my business. i have a yard where i have techs in the field that use tablets to go online. although the yard wasn't that big (maybe 100 yards) or so, it was large enough that my router couldn't cover. so instead i got the AP600EX (Access Point) and installed the ap outside (mounted on my wall). It worked great and now we have wifi throughout the yard (except the far corner where we have a shed). I talked to a tech about getting the barn connected as well and they recommended using the unit with their repeater (SR600EX). so i went ahead and did this too. worked like a charm. both work well together.the only reason i didn't give them 5 stars on this one is because the unit was missing a pole tie. However the customer service agent was very nice and sent me 3 extra ones just in case. once they arrive i'll change it back to 5 stars.

Great range easy setup. . I have two buildings out of range of my home WiFi that I wanted to reach. When I had first looked into this a year ago, I was overwhelmed with the choices of antennae and repeaters, so I have procrastinated on the setup. This was the rare occasion when indecision and laziness paid off. There were no problems integrating the Amped repeater with my Netgear wdnr3400 WiFi. I have not fully tested the range but I have a full wireless signal @ 70% antenna strength at my farthest point - about 150 meters. I tested it at about 400m, through several buildings and I had no signal.If you are going to use the stand to sit it on a desk, it can be slightly awkward. The punch-out at the bottom is too small to fit the rj45 connector through it, so you will have to put a bend in the cable. (Be sure to do this gently.) Aesthetically, it doesn't look good. For wall and pole mounts, you won't have to worry about that. It would have been nice to have a conduit knockout, since it is intended for outdoor use, but I suppose that is nitpicking. It was a nice gesture that they included cables, but I would rather see products like this without cables to reduce the cost. I always have a lot CAT6 laying around and it is easier to fish it without the end already attached. I'm sure some people can use the cables they included, but mine will go into a box of endless pre-cut CAT6.
Great for backyards and backhouses . i bought this with the Pro Access Point to use for my backhouse which is about 100 yards away from my main lodge. works great when paired with the Access Point. Good strong signal and the product pays for itself since i dont need to bring in a separate line from my ISP to the back house. Using speedtest i get about 30mbps down which is really good. Happy with my purchase and amped has good techsupport. Walked me through setup quickly and they knew what they were talking about
